So being a degen. I have lurked VLR for about a year and a half and HLTV for three years and here are the main differences.
VLR: Less people so the people are more recognizable such as babysauske, Subreezy, etc. on HLTV there are so many degens you don't remember them unless they really have no life ex. ZYWOO FAN.
The main difference is HLTV allows politics which results in lively disscussion before it gets taken down, there are so many different people on HLTV compared to VLR so it is intresting to see their thoughts on the world.
HLTV and VLR both are toxic places with hate towards players that is stupid. AND they both hate the other game
Some minor differences... VLR there are different langauges allowed, HLTV only English.
Fantasy game on HLTV is very fun
HLTV lots of gamba threads.
HLTV: More diversity with Russians, NA, Brazil, Denmark, France, ETC BUUUUT only VLR has lots of Indians ex Domination.
VLR: UPVOTE/DOWNVOTE I think if that was in HLTV it would go to shit.

I would like to disagree. The meta changes and now the AWP is super in meta. Liquid won Grand Slam with NAF and Nitr0 awping so the awp obviously was not that important. The meta keeps changing with gun updates and non awp focused teams such as liquid and FURIA can still be competitive without focusing too much on the Awp. Obviously they can’t be asleep but they are still very much a rifle based team
