I think EMEA is the better league but if anything this masters has just proved NA has far better talent than EMEA in val in general, EG is a team of tier 2 players plus Ethan who was arguably tier 2 when he joined EG and I expect them to give fnatic a good fight. There isn't going to be a fnatic era like people thought.
they also beat navi on an off day, I don't think they can win an event with sayf offline like EG might if demon1 isn't online because the rest of EG is playing out of their mind also. Sayf is way more important to liquid success than demon1 is to EG aswell.

I mean what other NA team had a chance to be good, 100t isnt really a great roster on paper and sentinels had a lot of internal issues. If EG has this potential im sure rosters like sen and c9 could eclipse that.
yeah eg looked garbage before demon1 came so he probably brings a lot of intangibles, potter surprised me though, their spacing on entries is perfect.
tbh nobody expected this, it's probably the most insane thing I've seen in any esports and thats saying a lot. EG literally has players that have not shown much results in NA t2 and are currently stomping on players that have won international majors. I thought C9 was a huge surprise but this is just bigger because c9 had 2 world class players in xeppa and leaf already.

Sadly, sports doesn't work like this lol just because one team beat another doesnt mean said team is better than everyone else the other played. NRG beat EG not too long ago. Off days happen stop being delusional and just let the games play out lol
FPX and Gambit were largely similar teams tho, teams who had almost perfect grasps on the meta in their prime but in the future struggled with inconsistency. Gambit is overrated af tho ngl woulda been cool if the Russia thing never happened and they coulda signed derke would be an actual superteam. In reality though the only teams where a roster had a top 5 guy in each role at that moment was M2 Sentinels and Current FNATIC.
I mean something had joined later than the rest of the Russian players, I would assume it's easier to get visas when you're established

DRX just isn't good anymore they have some internal issues, everyone thought DRX was top 4 itw but in reality that team has same issue NaVi core has which is teams can just anti to hell because they've been around forever. PRX isn't the favorite vs any other team remaining so I wouldn't say top 3. Still impressive if they're competitive with FNATIC and NRG but probably won't be without something.
The thing is, these ORGs know they can't compete with Fnatic and LOUD season 1, so why listen to fans who dont understand esports roster building when they could just wait and identify BETTER talent for upcoming seasons?

Riot is prioritizing growth in China which benefits everyone, ASE is pretty competitive but EDG is a way better team.

I mean you're trying to use eye test for a player who's never played versus those guys at the top level. Also for a team who plays such fundamental aggressive valorant like PRX, the jett v jett or in general duelist matchup matters quite a bit. Not just the kill but denying an entry. Something DRX I feel like would always struggle with, hence why I think T1 will probably give PRX a good run for their money if they can upgrade on ban.
It's not an insult to APAC but EMEA and Americas is definitely a different level of competition.
Leaf was playing vs Aspas and Demon1 Sayf was vs Derke and CNed. The best jett in APAC is probably Saya? Who's really good don't get me wrong but besides for that none on the level of Aspas Derke ETC. Also his Jett rating past 60 is 1.18 which is what I used.
I don't understand why they don't just feed winners of groups into round 1 and have a lowers bracket lol? Or maybe they have a lowers and it's just cropped but still..

He's been good but like, his 1.17 rating isn't exactly dominance in APAC. Sayf averages close to 1.3 on jett iirc and gets less hype. Obviously great but APAC doesn't have the same amount of duelist talent that EMEA and Americas and he wasn't always even farming in APAC. I'd just rather wait to see him play some teams at Tokyo that might stylistically be a worse matchup for Something and PRX.
I feel like both FUT and NAVI are just pretty inconsistent. NAVI always had high highs, I don't doubt that Shao can go on an insane run and they win Tokyo lol

both Runi and Jakee were in top tier 3 valorant which is right outside challengers or ascension in NA. Jakee and Runi were both pretty well known to people who actually watch tier 2. Jakee was a smokes main for NSIC he just played Jett in those collegiate tournaments lmfao.
