masters = champions basically. people argue “16 teams” but that’s only 16 in playoff round. technically both have the same amount of teams bc you have to qualify for them. lock in is just vastly different in every way: prize pool, limited teams, format, not random bracket, called a show lan
what about riot not truly random drawing teams and calling it a show tournament? and how it’s the smallest amount of teams for an international lan yet since it’s only franchising. like surely we listen to riot and the pros

1) not a big prize pool
2) only had franchise teams and no qualifiers. that’s barely any teams considering last champions had hundreds

5) rito matched certain teams in 1st round for viewership bc it’s a show match. not a true random draw
riot and the pros call it a show tournament. why would anyone consider it a major?
yeah bro teams are playing masters to qualify for champions. also, it’s not 16 teams invited. they qualify thru region tournaments so masters and champions is the same size. just a bigger playoff round
