GC should not get free spots in T2. They're clearly not good enough to get their on their own if they need a free spot to play in T2. They can go through open quals like everyone else if they want it enough.
Potter is going to be irrelevant here since Yay has a severe mental/confidence issue, not a talent/experience issue. On a way worse team, there should be less pressure and surely at this point, he'll know how to just ignore any hate he gets.
Then again, he probably knows this is make or break for him. If he can't do well here, he'll probably retire.
They ran Zekken on initiator like once or twice in the off season lol (and one of those was Yoru). He never played initiator last year.
Because those decisions were for PARTNERED teams. They wanted to get orgs and country representation to make stable leagues. GC shouldn't get guaranteed spots in T2 when T2 is supposed to be an open circuit. If GC teams are too dogshit to qual on their own merit, then oh well.

Everyone is allowed to play in open quals. Riot shouldn't be giving a special pipeline or reserve spots for GC teams when they clearly haven't been able to make it to T2 on their own skill.
