hey?
hi there, it's me again. after giving it a week or so to have more information on the teams, i'm back for some more random thoughts and stuff :)
G2 with keloqz looks a lot cleaner and more reliable when it comes to winning their duels with their opponents and their strats. I'm just saying having an aggressive and mechanically skilled Jett fly across the server does usually fare well and sometimes can catch other teams off guard. I do have to say EXCEL did bounce back really well proving me wrong and I do hope to see them face off against Liquid and ACEND. However, I also really like LDN UTD so I have no clue who to cheer for tomorrow so praying for a close 3-2 series. (not saying anything cuz I feel like I will curse them)
The CIS region seems to be bubbling with a lot of new talent and they have decent aim but I am just wondering if any of those teams will be signed. I do hope to see NAVI in the EMEA Challengers.
For the Turkish region, I like some of the teams as they have pretty good aim and entertaining games (ex. today's BBL vs Fire Flux). Though I don't know how they will fare against the new GUILD and FPX which all seem to be very exciting matches.
The Brazilian region seems for me to be hit or miss as I am not thoroughly informed about the scene well (I do read all of Noyn's threads). I like the LOUD and NIP rosters a lot. Very excited about the Challengers part.
I do want to apologize to bramz. I am sorry for probably cursing you and your team :( you guys did well
if you are wondering who I am, I have been a lurker on this site for about the last year and a bit going back to the First Strike era so I have seen every roster change and news. I've been playing Valorant for fun since July 2020 so I kinda know most things about Valorant and have played through every patch update.
they seem to be a newer team so I kinda gave them a free pass
no problem! good luck tomorrow!
tomorrow's matchup seems fire
hi there, I'm just here to state my opinion I liked and didn't liked from the VCT Europe so far. These thoughts might be periodically or there might be some sort of schedule but I don't know just yet.
The team(s) that impressed me so far: Vitality and Rebels - These two teams look really cohesive with clean teamplay and decent strats and have really strong individual firepower (kAda and bramz from vita and vo0kashu and musashi from rebels). I have a pretty good feeling one or both will do well in the VCT EMEA Challengers Stage 1.
Honourable mentions - Guild cuz they looked really good most times but choked a bit
The team(s) that failed my expectations: EXCEL and Heretics - Both teams have exceptional firepower and really talented indivuals but apparently can't win anything so far. Hopefully they prove me wrong in the future but EXCEL with the players they have seem to have severely underperformed.
(Note: G2 is not here as honestly my expectations of them weren't high and FPX is also not here as they went to CIS which is a bit harder to compare to as I am not educated in that region)
The player(s) that surprised me: Leo and bramz - Both players did extremely well in comparison to their peers with the agents they played and had several crucial pop off moments. They are probably the best player on their respective teams and will probably be MVP of these events going forward.
Honourable mentions - vo0kashu and Sayf
Some other thoughts - the observing was really well done throughout all games I watched and I absolutely enjoyed it, there were quite a lot of chokes (10-2 to 11-13, etc) so I guess players are nervous & having all these new EU teams with their new lineups makes me really excited for future competition
That's all :)
