It is done in all the sports. Before euro/world cups in basketball or football all teams play friendly matches before tournaments. Also the reads goes both ways.

Most of them but the best casters are at csgo. And surprise surprise you mentioned two guys from cs go. I dont know why ddk didnt made it there, hes awesime, sean if casted then very rarely, most of the time he was talking in breaks between maps/matches. For me the worst thing about her casting is that she tries to take attention from the game to her. Its like she thinks commentating is another form of entertainment and not an addition to already entertaining thing which is a game you watch.

In cs you can trust people to know couple of lineups only from above average ranks. In val the equivalent would something like high plat. People dont bother learn lineups in cs

He means that aim and awarness in cs is massive and a slightest mistake can mean a quick round loss, in val you can make shitty situations favourable to you with abilities which requires much less precision and less mechanical skill.

Their loses in last tourney has been very close, 3 13:11 loses in past 6 maps against sen and envy. 2 of them on enemy's map pick and one in decider. One pistol round win couldve (not saying it wouldve) changed everything and they won only 1/6 against sentinels and 2/6 against envy. Just saying. It was indeed very close matches.

Watching pro matches is ok, playing not so much. Genuinely enjoyed playing it for something like a half of the year since beta release, even solo q. Still fan of the first 3 original maps plus acent. Then icebox came, now breeze. Two huge terrible maps, slow movement, elephant stomping-like steps when running and random spray. Yeah, that makes sense. Also ranked meta changed very much unfortunately not to my preference. People now rely so much on utility and just sit around waiting all the time. Makes sense in terms of maximizing your chances to win, I completely understand that, but I have no patience for that bullshit. Pushing on defense is mostly a suicide and a round loss so it is more of a tower defense game than fps lol. Also you need to be able to rotate quickly so info pushes is even more undesired

High percentage of hs kills is around 30% in pro games. I would say decay is a huge factor. Especialy if you are around 80 or less, then its 1 hit kill after walking through it
