You mean Fennel? The two maps were just "Festival go kill".

posted about 2 years ago

I regret staying up late to watch this. This is just like ZETA's champion run except it's going to make Fennel look worse if Guild doesn't end up winning this whole thing.

Sad. I could've destroyed them. Even though I could still destroy them with 200+ ping but it might not look good for your player if I do that so I will not be selected.

That sucks, I'm talking about gameplay fun. It is much more better than Americas. Americas has LOUD, Furia, KRU, Leviatan. APAC has DRX, PRX, ZETA, DAMWON, and some more teams are more likely to make roster changes compared to NA teams. APAC will be fun, but it's still shit that there is only one JP team.

posted about 2 years ago

It will always be a SA team vs SA team, no NA team will make it next to LOUD and Leviatan. Americas looks so boring and but at least happy for the SA teams because now they will have better opportunities. On the other hand, I'm excited to see the APAC and EMEA scene, more for APAC.

I had to scroll so much to find the last time they played against a team. I looked into one of their matches and now I can say it with confidence that no, they can't. In no world can they ever beat LOUD or Leviatan like that. I don't know who this curry is but I am watching xeppa and leaf play, they are not that good at all and lack the awareness I saw players have in VCT. They are simply aim differing the other team, which is EG and still somehow lose duels and get flanked. Leaf is bad at oping and they are not even making use of their utility.

posted about 2 years ago

Did they make any crazy play with tactics or was it only good aim skills? I saw Sentinels play last NA LCQ and I never saw them pull off some play that made me go wow.

I heard from someone that it's because Optic dropped their League of Legends roster when Valorant told them not to so Riot did not pick them because of that.

posted about 2 years ago

But you have to consider that not everyone from Optic or xset are free agents. And there is no way they will sign the full 5 man team. If they pick players one by one, there's issue of compatibility, you could put Yay in Sentinels roster and there is no guarantee that the team will do good because of it. Optic roster is one of the best of the best and they had to put in the work to create this synergy, no? So achieving that will pretty much be impossible unless they pick up the entire team, which I think is kind of unbelieveable. And then there are teams like Sentinels, who will never change roster. If they drop Shazam and TenZ, it will hurt their org's popularity, and if they don't do it, sorry to say but there's no way they are lasting a map with LOUD. And I read another article which says John Riot wants more content from teams.

posted about 2 years ago

But I heard that changing roster will affect the team's popularity, and most orgs don't want to do that so they won't change rosters.

I have not seen a single match of Cloud9 or NRG in Valorant. Can they last a map against teams like LOUD, Leviatan, DRX? Or will Riot go easy on them by matching them with Talon Esports and Global Esports? I was excited for kickoffs but hearing that two of the best teams from NA won't make it to kickoffs, that sucks.

When esports is not about skill, this is what happens. Not picking the best team for franchise, is so embarrassing.

Wait what happened? I have not been keeping up with Valorant news

Yeah, it is incredibly popular in Japan. Japan has a lot of Esports cafe and Esports gym, they are like internet cafe but specially made for games. One day, I hope Japan can be like Korea in a sense that school kids go to these places after school and have an intense match of Valorant. That day definitely is not out of reach but..

This is how Riot treats Japan? Only one slot?

posted about 2 years ago

I think it's 291k but not sure if it's before Iceland or after. But there should be only 4 months of gap in-between.

posted about 2 years ago

Least arrogant north america fan. They should give NA 2 slots, Optic and Xset and every other slot to South America.

posted about 2 years ago

How is this rip? Japan is only getting one

posted about 2 years ago

Japan has more Valorant fans lol what. KR viewership is good, but what you just said is too much.

posted about 2 years ago

This company has actually gone fucking insane. One bad decision after another.

posted about 2 years ago

Don't listen to the other guy. This week's episode was the best in the entire series. Sad part is, the whole season is kind of boring (just like the first season) but at least this season is redeemed by today's episode.

posted about 2 years ago

La La La is good but Waka Waka will always have a special part in my heart as the no. 1 football song.

posted about 2 years ago

Japan viewership is already insane. Franchising will only double it. JP + KR + CN views are going to crazy, put some APAC views in there and Asian viewership easily tops.

posted about 2 years ago

Japanese viewership contributed a lot. Most Japanese popular streamers were watching the match that day. DRX was trending on JP Twitter

posted about 2 years ago

Incredible. The moment they won against Leviatan, I knew they were going to be top 3. What I didn't expect is for them to beat Optic and for DRX to beat FPX, twice. LOUD was truly the underdog all along.

posted about 2 years ago

Group was not hard. PRX played bad. And this is coming from a PRX fan who was mesmerized by their performance. Same with EDG. Group B was the hardest. ZETA got wiped twice by LOUD, the champions, the best team right now. How is ZETA gonna fight back against that?

posted about 2 years ago

KR and JP is APAC, don't let Valorant's weird way of counting regions fool you.

posted about 2 years ago

I joined late, that's how they won? How are LOUD on Icebox? Are they good on Icebox on Ascent level or decent?

posted about 2 years ago

You lost all credibility in your comment and outed yourself as a baiter in that sentence. It's sad that VLR baiters can't even stay consistent like Facebook or Reddit baiters.

posted about 2 years ago

Are they going to play Ascent? Please tell me ascent is here

posted about 2 years ago

It will obviously happen one time in future because Valorant is popular in Japan, but not the next Masters if it's held soon, that's what I'm saying.

posted about 2 years ago

No it is not opening rapidly. There are some people that are trying to halt the progress. This is why I said that unless it's next year late, it won't happen. I don't know when Masters begin but it is not possible to book an event in Japan any time now.

posted about 2 years ago

Guys, Japan is not open to tourism yet. Unless the masters is next year late or somewhere after that time, Japan won't be able to host an event like this.

posted about 2 years ago

I am happy that it was this close. Because it proves that it was a close match and DRX had a solid chance at winning.

posted about 2 years ago

Must be another salty EU loser

posted about 2 years ago

The curse is broken, next year they are gonna be extremely strong.

posted about 2 years ago

It all depends on LOUD now

posted about 2 years ago

It's not gonna go OT, Optic is gonna get 2 more, DRX is still far away

posted about 2 years ago

Give them a break, they tried. Top 3 is great

posted about 2 years ago

Sadly I think it's over.

posted about 2 years ago

Top 3 is REALLY good. Super proud of DRX. Next year we'll come back stronger, ZETA and DRX both ❀

posted about 2 years ago

Put respect in DRX name salty idiot. They have evolved. Talking big as if DRX hasn't always been a good team. Having zero fans is better than having fans like this guy

posted about 2 years ago

LOUD vs DRX, please make it happen. I have been wanting this right after playoffs. My pickems didn't have LOUD, but they did have DRX in finals and I really want them to win it all this champions. I can sleep in peace now.

posted about 2 years ago

There's no way DRX wins now, fuck man.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes, this is what I'm hoping for. They are my two favourite teams currently out of 4.

posted about 2 years ago

LOUD is amazing HOLY. These guys are top tier

posted about 2 years ago

It's so funny
That 99% of the people who are saying why did Suygetsu and FPX be toxic to XSET, would do it themselves, 10x worse.

But the thing is, they can only say that they won't do it and will never reach a platform to make a decision like that and can only complain on vlr πŸ’€

posted about 2 years ago

This whole thing ruined my night and I'm not even the one playing. I can't even imagine being in the shoes of the players on stage. I totally understand Suygetsu's frustrations.

posted about 2 years ago

But Zekken making a crying gesture to FPX team after they lost for the second time isn't weird? I did not think I would take FPX's side tonight, but here we are.

posted about 2 years ago

Originally, I did not want them to win this because I'm supporting DRX. But this treatment was so one-sided and unfair for FPX. All it did was make me gain massive respect for them. All their anger is 100% justified. Riot is a shit company. Zekken was mocking FPX after they lost for the 2nd time by making a crying gesture, absolutely shameless.
