Ever since people with certain types of interests followed the Val esports bandwagon and brought their own methods to support PRX, people started to dislike the fanbase for some reason. Especially after the whole Flashback drama, people lost sympathy for the fanbase and it somehow affected how people viewed the team as well. Similiar with Genshin in my opinion, good chill game but annoying fanbase. I guess this whole "idoling" thing should stay in where it belong.
