Champs is 16 international teams turney and their group in champs 24 was Group of Death. Even with Meteor absence GenG still a reliable masters/champs playoff teams. VIT on the other hand, have great players on paper but big ? on the coach and current form with lack of offseason tournament. VIT could be a 2024 NRG.

yeah, my point is more of some players/team just not good on those maps specifically cause u have to play the map in a specific way. As a recon initiator player, playing on Split/Fracture is not fun and most of my losses comes from those 2 maps.

the effort and Improvement made in Split 2 to win champs (most important prestigious tournament) should ALWAYS BE NEGLECTED by 8 teams turney and Mid season international turney with recently bias argument to discredit them and give it to other teams instead. Being the best when it matters means nothing. Masters value > champs value. Money/Production/Prestigious means jackshit.
If anything, 8 teams masters achievement should be discredited, less competition and not every team will be at best early in season.
u clearly didn't watch Chichoo stage 1 and stage 2 VCT CN then. People only say Meteor > Chichoo because they don't watch VCT CN EDG performance. Champs is 16 international teams, madrid 8 and Shanghai 12. This is why GenG dropped out, cause champs more difficult than Masters. If GenG at the very least made playoffs at champs there would be an argument there.
Despite EDG poor performance in Madrid and Shanghai, KangKang performance never been bad in those 2 internationals and in the VCT China.

Agreed, HSK coaching during the india off season turney wasn't great. And when GenG sign solo, immediate rapid improvement turned texture into absolute beast after all the time they spent together in damwon. Before start of 2024 season in PRX video they already tease that GenG gonna be a crazy strong team heading into 2024. VCT pacific video alecks and many pacific coaches already highlight how good of a coach solo is. Now that peri joins GenG coaching staff, GenG will be more solid after their champs exit. Peri is solo teammate during nuturn Masters 2021 Reykjavik.
I saw ardiis clip about non fraudulent coaches in VCT, he says he can't speak about solo cause he doesn't know much about him. This probably why solo didn't win the award since not many western panellists know much about solo and just voted neilzinho 1 and solo 2 instead. Being more international with western people wins the award, thats how you win vote. How else Jawgemo wins the award? The chat stream was voting on s1mon's clutch instead.
Champs is 16 International teams turney, the most prestigious, stacked, difficult turney. The difference is huge compared to measly 8 teams masters 1 turney. In plat chat we have Neilzinho winning best coach for winning 0 trophies (0 trophies wins). KangKang literally have to beat the all time bo5 record to beat TH and wins EDG champs trophy. If KangKang played average at champs then I'd agree texture deserve it more, but KangKang was heavy standout WHEN IT MATTERS. Sentinels never make Shanghai and GenG underperform at champs, u can't neglect those. EDG rapid improvement under muggle head coach and s1mon addition makes up great storyline of what it means to improve and step up. KangKang wasn't even bad at VCT China, put some value on that too.
I dont know if its EDG specifically being pushed because they want KangKang to be the next Faker
what's wrong with that? Requirement is to be a national person, EMEA too continent based, and NA's hope of next faker is gone with TenZ retirement. KangKang still only 20 and with him in EDG it would be a good long term future for valorant, China viewership will carry champs anyway, why not make china player to be next faker. A strong EDG is good for valorant.
