if rule about 1 import is implemented... then all 10 pacific challengers league will be impacted, then 9 EMEA sub region will impacted, then EMEA will complain how their continent divided into 9 sub region whining about 1 import. Rule should be consistent throughout all region. Its not happening.
DK korea is known to contract jail players. They don't sell their players to other KR org. Its the reason why t3xture had to go GE, Estrella to RRQ and Lakia had to go Free Agent contract expiry to join GenG.

those players gonna get comfortable on VCT, not ambitious to go international turney, perform bottom 4 in the league and stayed there with VCT salary. No other team will pick them up and just exists. If GE kicks indian player out, outrage happens but only Indian ppl cares. Just build an Indian/SA ascension team instead, that has more "worth" to be in VCT.
giving India/SA players VCT level salary are massive paycheck stealers.

2023 Qualify to internationals = Good, successful, 2024 doesn't qualify international = bad, unsuccessful. Result MATTERS and if not qualifying international and players need to leave doesn't mean worse than end of discussion,
Roster change can have positive outcome like your examples, or can be negative outcome like DRX. Its a gamble that could potentially pay off, or ended in failure (not qual international turney).

Why didn’t they just keep their roster
for whatever reason GenG always give 1 year contract to everyone. Last year Meteor 2 year contract, everyone else 1 year. This year Karon 2 year, everyone else 1 year, For last year case Bail and TS always stick together since TNL days, proves when bail/TS/GodDead all stick together and join ODG in China.
The title of the thread is why people think DRX is awful, I think they are awful cause they made incorrect decision, the gamble to release 3 experience players for academy player rookie costs them not once but 2 international qualification. To get back to their 4th-6th internationally with other pacific teams improving could take a while, and I wouldn't be surprise if Buzz leaves end of season (contract expiry) too to T1. #C9KoreaBuzz back with Autumn, but with T1 now.
what exactly did zest rb and stax ever prove. They made it far in tournament
consistently made internationals + internationally proven player. What has flashback and BeYN has prove? consistently miss out on qualifying to international tournament (by losing to GenG both times). The newest addition proves are they LOST their consistency, The gamble to remove experienced players for rookies doesn't pay off unlike T1 and TH, results show.
Like alecks said when signing monyet, when new addition comes in, the more the team have to re-learn everything from scratch to accommodate the new player into the system and each time someone comes in (Foxy9, Flashback, BeYN) the inconsistency shows.

its impossible for DRX to be worst in the league when DFM and GE exists. It should be worst worse, because the original roster is consistent top 4-6 AND making internationals. Releasing experienced players (Zest/Rb/Stax) for internationally unproven rookies will only remove their consistency and would end up NOT making internationals cause Pacific now have GenG/PRX (Guarantee international) and T1/RRQ/TLN (fighting for 3/4/5) with DRX.

Pacific runs 23 days Stage 1 as compared to every other region (30days). T1 opening game (vs PRX)+ next 3 game (DFM/DRX/RRQ) all played within 9 days.... In those 9 days of heavy schedule, Xccurate had to play whilst having injured hand AND T1 had to relocate to basecamp (1 hour away) due to their headquarters got DDOS'd. T1 attacking side is terrible and they have a habit of throwing leads as well. Heavy schedule, lack of preparation and external factors were big cause of those 9days.
T1 was 0-3 on their first 3 games (6days in start of split 1).
TALON, Governor has very good Neon movement and the Neon buff will benefit TLN.

They got a significant firepower upgrade, and now have stability
DRX have stability last year, as being 2nd in pacific, always qual to every international event. REBUILDING and changes gonna take a long time and to get back to consistent 4-6 place internationally.

No. These guys listened to ppl about making changes, from consistent top 4-6 internationals to consistently NOT making internationals. Lose Rb, Zest, Stax in the process. Not surprise if Buzz leaves too at end of his contract end of this year.
TS - slightly above T1
They lose warbirds, the 1 person who changes this team massively brings so much improvement, losing him = downward performance.
T1 - the worst team in VCT
The reason this team can make internationals and top 3/4 pacific are because of talent > experience. iZu/xccurate/rossy are unexperienced in tier1, carpe 1 year of experience in valorant. With the addition of stax (2026 contract) this team will be more structured and will still perform above TS/TLN/RRQ.
Talon - lowkey terrible
This team improves so much under frost compared to last years version of TLN. The improvement on the macro helps this team and got them to playoff in stage 1. The addition of governor (import) will help this team further in stage 2 as the neon buff will make them a more competitive team.
RRQ - world beaters
GenG/PRX/DRX/T1 will continue to be top 4 teams pacific (PRX & 3 KR team script), If you watch pacific (which u don't cause Americas timezone), you'll know this. RRQ might make playoff, but this team is the 5/6/7 team
U clearly don't watch pacific cause of the timezone and your opinion on pacific teams are INCORRECT.
