How could you possibly judge someone's personalities from what you've seen online?
I thought it was random except that teams won't get matched up with teams from the same group. If that's the case, we could get SEN v NRG and LOUD v EG no?
Possible, but it would come down to how fast the other team can adapt to EG's comps and non-meta plays
i think bros new to VLR
just giving more time for daddy to call
Holy that last round was insane from NRG
wasnt bro gonna shave his head if EG won?
yeah, even Immi said on his stream they are very confident going into playoffs and I think he even tweeted about it after the game. but everything just fell apart.
I agree that him streaming is not a problem. I just tried to explain why people think it is
Most other players have stopped/rarely stream since the season started. Even bigger streamers like s0m didn't stream at all during Americas. I think people see that difference and try to point the stream as the reason why he/ the team is doing bad
Edit: I don't think him streaming is a problem, I'm trying to explain why others would see it as such
They said they've been working hard for playoffs, no clue what that hard work was for. They looked clueless in coordinating on the fly especially on defense and even set strats were messy.
tbh I gave up on g2 after split 2. but damn this was a differently level of ass
I've watched his Vod a couple of times and he just randomly ends the stream mid-series. I was so confused.
Bro went positive on all maps. Highest kills with 74 and +24 overall. He's insane.
I think they knew they couldn't counter the Furia comp with their usual Astra, Breach and Sova so they mirrored them.
yeah but as an org competing in international tournaments, I feel like EG should have made it a priority to make sure all the players including subs were eligible to travel right?
nah s0m has been doing really well. He's been pretty consistent in the past few games. This game was just the whole team playing poorly.
According to Esports Charts, the final peaked at 1.2mil. Could still go up since game 2 just started
WHEN WE SPLIT B THROUGH HEAVEN WE NEED TO CLEAR B MAIN. WE KNOW THIS. SMH. THIS IS TEXTBOOK
Yeah, I feel like it's one of those one-game wonders kinda thing. Same with G2 running double duelist with Jett and Neon on Haven - it was good for the first time since none of the teams were ready for the pacing, but it gets hard countered the next series.
Their Ascent comp is doggy no? So many gaps without a KJ and no one to cover for it
This is a weird situation IMO. Yes, they are saving, but the outcome isn't obvious since there was time to diffuse.
Why? Aspas even shot Marved a bit and ran down short? He could've stopped Marved? Even if Tuyz didn't DC who is to say he wouldn't have left the site already? The whole team was already out
man down, tried to get a trade by timing the ppl reloading behind the smoke
there's no way you think ranked/streaming is as exhausting as a competitive bo3 elim
Sliggy actually analyses rounds - breaking down util and stuff while everyone else just comments on the obvious
its because he was the IGL and IGLs are "expected" to fix all team issues and have a flawless team in the mind of an average VLR user
Sliggy talks a lot about how good Verno is. But tbh, I feel like duelists always get more credit since they are on 'pop off' agents. Don't get me wrong, Verno is insane but being an initiator/support in the back lines helping the team doesn't give him much screen time IMO, hence the less hype. Every time he's in a clutch, he pops off and that's the only time we really get to see him.
there is a role clash, there always was. When C9 picked Yay everyone was talking about the role clash, C9 said they would make it work and I think in one of their videos Vanity said they working around it. But apparently, not so true. They didn't do well at the Red Bull tourney and didn't do well at Lock In.
Pretty weird they drop 2022s top player over a role issue. Surely Yay is the last person you would want to drop.
Edit: Xeppa, Leaf and Vanity have been the C9 core for quite a while so I am assuming they didn't want to break that. Zellsis is flex so doesn't directly have a role clash with Yay.
Then again, it could be completely different and related to money. C9 lost quite a lot of sponsors last year I believe, they dropped their Apex roster too.
you would expect the IGL to be the most disciplined. Mans the complete opposite. Tries to ego everything.
ardiis leaked it on stream yesterday. He was talking about how good N4RRATE is and said he'll be playing tmrw and opened the MAD Lions game on VLR, but VLR hadn't officially changed anything and WILL was still on the roster. So if that is true, N4RRATE will prob be the replacement
honestly, we'll have to wait until the next bracket starts. Alpha bracket had banger games since round 2. The Omega bracket is hella stacked too. Could be anyones game tbh
