Every year, there's at least one team that comes out of nowhere and takes everyone by surprise with how good they are. Last year it was Evil Geniuses. 2024 you can argue had multiple of those like Team Heretics, GenG and even EDG since i dont think much people had then winning champs before the season started. You can even argue these unexpectedly good teams were actually the best teams of the year. I mean GenG made 5/6 GF with 3 wins and EG placed 2nd at Tokyo and won Champs.

That beggs the question: Who is the lurking best team of 2025?

i watched all of the ascension games he played and i can confirm he is really good. That being sad i dont think he compares to Bang at all. His Tier 2 perfomance is really good but you cannot act like what he's done in tier 2 is comparable to bang in tier 1. Maybe he proves himself next year but we shall wait before we compare him to the literal best controller of 2024 americas

NRG Aspas would be interesting tbh because then they would have

NRG this year couldnt use Demon1 properly because they were lacking an IGL. FNS is not only a good IGL but also is very familiar with Aspas' playstyle so this should work perfectly (although we shouldnt underastimate the NRG choke gene)

I actually like the current meta a lot. We have so many maps now where you can actually play like 2-4 different duelists and they are all decent options, this was NEVER a thing before. The duelist role was never this healthy. The only problem right now is Neon but as soon as she gets a nerf the duelist meta will be almost as good as it can be. Initiators are also in a solid position and Sentinels could get better but overall theyre decent. Controllers are the biggest problem thou since Omen is SO MUCH better than everyone else in that role its crazy. But honestly? Even the Omen dinasty i dont mind that much since its such a fan agent to watch with how flexible it is

honestly 2024 NRG vs 2024 M80 would be a banger match because the first team not to be extremly fucking obvious would instantly win
