Before any nerds bring up the reaction time studies, reaction time is a very small part of FPS games, and other than reaction time (which is already a very small difference) there's nothing stopping a woman from being on par with men. This is wildly different than mens and womens sports. In the video posted, Serena literally talks about how men serve harder and run faster than women do, and this is because there's biological differences between men and women that cause these differences. Physically, men are far stronger than women, we see this is weightlifting too. In valorant, you have to factor in game sense, utility timing, crosshair placement, map knowledge, and so many other things that don't have any limiting factors for women. A woman isn't able to compete in the men's ATP tour because she will never be as fast or strong as the men, but what's there to stop a woman from competing in franchising?

There's only a small handful of players I'd trust to be consistent even in T2, and an even smaller group I'd think could even make the bench of a T1 team. That's kinda the reason GC exists in the first place tho so idk why this is a debate

The 50k minimum salary does not include sponsorships, earnings, signing bonuses, or incentives, so as far as we know players could make way more than their salary says. Lots of orgs also offer housing for their players, so that’s another expense that’s taken off. But I doubt orgs are even offering their starting roster league minimum, that type of salary is probably gonna be a thing that their bench players/loan players are paid, and players definitely won’t want to play for league minimum, that’s the whole reason why EG is kinda falling apart now. But orgs are definitely able to pay enough to pay a livable wage for players, and if they can’t then riot will keep them accountable.

Dude, the scene will be fine. The whole “budget” stuff is teams realizing they can’t just spend whatever money they want and actually have to be smart with how they use money, which will lead to more sustainable spending in the future. And tbh budget in Americas is still a shit ton of money

Orgs definitely need to diversify their sources of income but tbh there are so few routes an org could take to make money. I only rlly know the NA scene in depth but I think 100T is one of the better orgs in terms of sustainability, they have a lot of clout in the industry and they effectively utilize that to do things like high profile merch collabs. I know they are also expanding into other industries, I distinctly remember an energy drink but they have a few other things, and their clothing lines are always pretty good and actually wearable unlike other orgs (EG). And on the esports side of things they are usually responsible in their budgets and try not to overspend, and also treat their players very well while they’re rostered.

One of the big reasons why salaries were so high is bc there was a shit ton of VC money in esports bc a bunch of businessmen thought that esports would be a profitable enterprise like traditional sports were. This led to orgs and CEOs spending like crazy, and now that a lot of the VC money is running out orgs are figuring out that they are far in the red in terms of financials, and now they’re trying to just mitigate the damage. After this whole dark period I think the market should stabilize and the remaining orgs that don’t go under are gonna be more financially responsible

There's other industries in STEM that have better growth potential than CS right now, CSE as a whole has way too many ppl because so many kids were promised a shit ton of money if they got into CSE. If I had to suggest a STEM industry to go for instead I'd probably say Mechanical Engineering bc there's a lot you can do with that. It's a very broad field that has a lot of other majors like Aerospace Engineering and Bio/Biomed Engineering in it as more specific fields.
