I agree. This is an opinion. I'd hold off from anything that is

The person who made the post contacted me! It's that whoever finished the match didn't set a winner
Underground shit. But it seems they are gaining traction and support with the help of Riot/Tencent.
Yeah, they are quite well versed. Caster Alan (https://twitter.com/AlanGai_) is probably the more well-known Chinese caster that I know that handled Valorant and has contact to the Western side of things(?) Need citation though.
I believe the game gained traction as many during Valorant's early months like all regions. Some tournaments were pushed and major orgs had invested in certain rosters. Then Valorant was scheduled to release in 2021, in like a big, big promotion alongside China's LPL 10 Year Anniversary Event (Heck there were even promotional advertisements), so it was big. But they weren't able to beat out the NPPA freeze which stopped all game publishing and here we are, with China still stuck today.
I'm waiting for the TOs. I'm waiting on official announcements. Please understand that I have my own sources.
Because it's our own (VLR) personal ranking system, not Riot's.
Well not really. Zhuque is the domestic 'academy'-ish team for FPX. Since Valorant still hasn't been released officially in China, they have the liberty to just have a domestic team for these purposes.
I'd say that even though the weird turmoil that resulted in the weird two esports body that is sanctioned by the government (I'm looking at you, IESPA and PBESI,) they're actually doing well side-by-side and in a constructive manner in terms of building esports in Indonesia. Heck, even the local governments are also helped with the local branches of either IESPA or PBESI. While it did suck that some of our esports contingents had to be cut down for the SEA Games, it helped that we have actual support from the government to help legitimize esports in public.
Just saying though, that whatever happened between IESPA and PBESI early during PBESI's start was dumb.
The team allocation of the VCT APAC LCQ will be updated due to logistical issues that have the potential to impact the overall competitive integrity of the tournament. As a result, the slots previously allocated to teams from China will be redistributed to other regions.

45 games out of 87 were approved in April. Most are from more minor, domestic-oriented game publishers, and not from Tencent nor NetEase (who are the major publishers.)
"Only 45 licenses have been awarded so far, which is still a tiny percentage of the total number of games that are allowed to be published in China every year."

in an indirect implication that the NPPA freeze has halted all progress towards any slots given to China will result in an official presence by Chinese teams.
Pretty sure they participated in VCT in early 2021 and they're always allowed to
No, incorrect. More like Tencent vs Chinese Government. It's not that China rejected it, it's because Tencent and Riot are stuck in publishing limbo. NPPA froze all game publishing last year and it was just recently that some domestic titles started to be approved. Doesn't mean it's a silver lining for Valorant, but it's a step forward at least.
I'd say one of the best, maybe behind Vash
Thanks tesseract
Shooter is experiencing internet issues. OG has been given a 15 min tech pause since, and if within 4 minutes Shooter doesn't reconnect, EG will be given a bye (aka a map forfeit) for Map 1.
At this point, no one exactly knows. It's all in the hands of the Chinese government.
NYFU. I just love the brutal and street aesthetic of the logo
Because technically, only Riot has access and the means to set up a LAN server for now. LAN in this case, is putting all the teams as low as possible in a single server shard so there won't be too much of a disparity.
I mean, does it matter? LAN is LAN and it's always a special event. Let people have fun?
I accidentally pressed Enter, whoops; I meant Legday is busy doing OWL in between SCS, so it's such a treat to see them back together again!
Legday is busy doing OWL
Who knows what's happening in the background anyways but if it does reach APAC LCQ levels of bad (which honestly it's slowly getting towards,) then I'll laugh
Scheduling does suck though, I do not enjoy ticking APAC matches beyond 12 am anyways
Both eyes -1.75, but right eye has a cylindric -0.50
I mean, I'm still hopeful and I've learned from my mistake to excessively shittalk an organizer just from experience alone but hey, if not, call Eliphant.
The entire ecosystem is still WIP, so I'll assume Riot is still ironing things out for next year.
For LCQ. For next year, there'll be a premier international league encompassing teams from current APAC (SEA, SA, OCE), JP, KR, and potentially China.
Day 1 woes with some production factors. A bit concerning, but I'll assume it'll fix as the event runs through.
top kek
edit: Fellas chill, I think he's just joking. I'm not offended.
Who knows. I'm not trying to be a shill or defending them but, problems will show up one way or another.
Oh dude, you haven't seen my reaction during APAC LCQ last year. I've seen multiple community LANs with delays and woes. It'll get better as time goes by.
Technically on the Youtube description, it said the broadcast started at 5 PM IST. Matches starts 30 minutes later. I just sync it with the match time.
It'll get better. I've learned that slowly with APAC LCQ last year, and I'm sure it'll happen with SCS. Don't bring down the effort they've brought so far.
Eh typical LAN. Plan the perfect setup, then some external factors saying nah lol
All on Youtube
Don't throw a fuck ton of money, lose and complain then.
Pickems are still open.
I forgot! I made it when I didn't know the exact match times. Fixed.
Won't disagree with that for sure. Hopefully they'll rebound.
Guild was the underdog. People expected M3C to went in clean after a Stage 2 refresh. Shows how improved Guild is, and how close EMEA is as a whole.G2 went in decent, but I took a gander that with the loss against Paper Rex, G2 got caught off-guard and was outclassed by a team going hot into the lower bracket. They somewhat underperformed.
M3C is strong, but recent results could suggest that EMEA is getting closer to them. It already did, in some cases.
Pretty sure it's still impressive. People were very quick to brush off Optic after their loss against XERXIA early during Reykjavik. You're talking about the most recent Masters winner and two-time Masters finalist. They arguably went through a downturn during Champions last year but showed their mental strength after their repeat loss against XERXIA. Other than LOUD, DRX pushed Optic to the fullest, in their match.
It proves that DRX has been showing great improvement since their first showing at Berlin last year, and they can go toe-to-toe with the world's best.
There's no official date/format announced yet properly. I'd rather have the format and dates be announced first, then add it.
Games played, then H2H. Ghost has only 2 games played, while Guard and TSM has 3. And Guard beat TSM.
I should reiterate: We have contacts with Skyesports. We are well aware of the general timeline. It's the specific match times that we don't know.
I mean, MOBA maps aren't going to be different in the grander scale of things. It's mirrored map, one way or another. In LoL's case, changes can be seen per game depending on what elemental dragon spawned on the 3rd cycle.
We haven't been informed of the proper schedule, that's all. The event is still taking place as far as I know.
