fnatic U.S. manager

they had their coach fill in on kj, an easy ass agent, put trent on duelist for tex (very similar in skill), and had their guard core that has been to a fucking LAN, while also now having a coach to mid-round and call strats?

i’m not saying it’s an upgrade but it was BARELY a downgrade

I have no clue what happened in split 2, but they’ve improved so much since MSI, every person on that team has fragging and clutch power while also having insane teamwork. What’s even more insane is that they’re all within top 10-15 of NA Challengers in stats, but out of the 5 of them, sym has the lowest stats. their DUELIST has the lowest stats. I think top T2 teams have learned how to counter a star duelist, I don’t think top T2 teams can counter a star team. they have good site execs, good teamwork, an IGL that can actually frag, and are backed by owners who have so much passion for the game and competitive esports as a whole. that’s the whole package.

come back here when they qualify for ascension

dont have a favorite tbh, pearl if i play yoru and ascent if i play sova (my 2 main agents)

posted about a year ago

should be based on round difference after you exceed a certain round disparagement, like +30 or +40 more rounds. giving someone a higher seed based off a Week 2 win against a young C9 is so fucking stupid imo

i think Americas mid teams beat EMEA's mid teams

source: lock//in, no mid team (besides TL) has really improved since then relative to the pace other teams have improved

posted about a year ago

yeah, kru's nepotism + lev taking all their good players fucked them. axeddy looked promising but too little too late. mibr is barely switching anything though, they shit the bed even though they had things going for them

i hope next year shit changes, i think maybe teams will be too stubborn to switch for LCQ

posted about a year ago

c9 excels at counterstratting tbh. SEN keeps letting pancada and marved lurk? send someone to shut that down. LEV plays too disciplined? W key their ass even on post-plants on their map pick. C9 adapts their playstyle to what the other team does and i think that'll give them the leg up, even if derke is slightly better than leaf or alfajer is slightly better than zellsis.

posted about a year ago

Americas is the most competitive, EMEA has the best team, Pacific has the most likely underdogs

posted about a year ago

the 5/3/2 split for Americas orgs was pretty fair? SA complained after the announcement about having half the teams be NA, and NA people complained that it should be 6/2/2 or even 7/2/1. although its looking to be 4 NA teams in playoffs, this split in orgs allows for future LATAM and Brazil talent to make its way to T1, while ascension allows the most deserving subregion to have an extra team in franchising. honestly, well done riot, genuinely a good decision from you guys

eg is the only team besides these 3 that i would like to see qualify

if it ends up being an all NA qual i would want it to be c9, nrg, and eg

posted about a year ago

no it's that i believe loud would more likely lose to NRG than c9 losing to NRG

i think of the top 3 in americas loud is the weakest

focusing on h2h is dogshit when it has nothing to do with qualifying, round diff should matter more among the already qualified teams

posted about a year ago

h2h is fair, but not when it's a huge round diff. this means that 1 game is more important than 3-4 other convincing wins

also all this does is let loud feel like they dont have to try because they managed to clinch a victory against an incredibly new c9 roster 7 weeks ago. there should be some stipulation that forces these 1st and 2nd seeds to keep trying to keep their bye spot, even if its a tie in game wins

posted about a year ago

shit talking is a way of valorant. if c9 wins tokyo i dont see an issue with br or latam individuals claiming it's a win for the americas region, and if people have an issue with that then they're cringe

posted about a year ago

not really, 2nd seed is probably gonna play against 3rd seed, which means c9 could face nrg while loud could have a free win against furia

it matters when in americas there's 3 teams solidly on top, so 1st seed is in a much better position than 2nd seed

posted about a year ago

bro stop acting like a brazilian loud fan, we all know ur a slut for m80

posted about a year ago

i know it would be funny for 3 NA teams to qualify to Tokyo, but LOUD, C9, and NRG as our representatives is our best chance at winning. i hope loud doesnt troll and throw against 100T or Furia or something

posted about a year ago

c9 has a round diff 40 higher than LOUD, yet loud is 1st seed. i know h2h should matter but to what point? crazy that hypothetically a +100 round diff team could be 2nd seed to a +10 round diff team as 1st seed if the 1st seed team wins a very close 2-1 series

i think above a +40 or +50 round diff higher it should ignore H2H

posted about a year ago

banter between NA and SA is totally fine until Tokyo, then i root for all the qualified teams

that's fair, i guess he was speaking moreso about appearance rather than actual stats, gambit LOOKED to be one of the most dominant teams, any time i think of optic i dont think of them as dominant tbh because their wins felt "scrappy" looking back on it

i agree that they deserved their 1st, 3rd, and 2nd hands down but something about optic feels differerent than Gambit. maybe it's because they won their first masters, got 2nd at champs in a 3-2 to acend, and then had to deal with the russia ukraine conflict which was a major 3rd party event that hindered their performance. they could've been more but got shafted due to world conflicts
