And they're the 2nd best team in na as well lol
I was looking up Valorant global rankings and I found this site. Whoever made this system needs to get fired LMAO: https://cq-esports.com/teams/valorant
Even the baiters on vlr have better takes
any chance that Perc30FishFillet comes back to save it?
respectfully, anyone who says Acend and Guild are making franchising don't know much about franchising
Sentinels, Zeta Division, KRU, Loud, KOI, BBL, KCorp, G2, 100T, TSM
I think you’ll be surprised by EG and TGrd. There’s an article that talked about what teams offered Riot when applying for franchising and TGrd offered use of Sofi Stadium, which is pretty big imo
So did XIA not make franchising? I’m genuinely confused by this move, the team’s consistently top two and seemed to have a large enough backing to make the league, so what’s up?
Chile + KRU
Australia + Order
South Korea + DRX
the bracket isn't out yet, but here's my guess at first round matchups:
NTH (1) vs KONE (8)
DK (4) vs RC (5)
Maru (2) vs EDG (7)
CR (3) vs ONS (6)
Benkai, Surf, and d4v41 are all top 10 APAC players as well imo
https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/73b71977
¯_(ツ)_/¯
But KRU doesn't change rosters after every event. FNC got a buff after adding Magnum and Derke, after adding Braveaf, and then again after adding Alfajer and Enzo. They are the best example of a honeymoon team
Crazy that you mentioned honeymoon runs without putting Fnatic, also I'd put Liquid after adding Nivera in LCQ+Champs
Masters 2 Reykjavik: TenZ
Masters 3 Berlin: nAts
Champions Berlin: Zeek
Masters 1 Reykjavik: yay
Masters 2 Copenhagen: Shao
Excluding PRX and XIA removes at least 7 of the top 10 players lol
Saya or Wardell are better than s0m imo but the rest I agree with
I have a feeling that the 'one specific one' that they're talking about in the replies will be CLG, they've been lurking in the scene for a while now
I doubt there will be a promotion league, at least in the first year of the system, I'm sure quite a few small orgs would've stuck around if there was. Also that video saying it's technically a partnership not 'franchising' is dumb cause only the wealthiest organizations will still get in.
When organizations like The Guard are offering Riot an entire ass stadium, what is an org like Akrew funded off of Animal Crossing Ebay supposed to do?
yay (Chamber) ~$5
Jawgemo (Duelist) ~$4
bang (Smokes) ~$3
Crashies (Initiator) ~$2
dephhh (IGL/Flex) ~$1
they even like to stream their scrims now!
Yep, they definitely need a superteam. I have a feeling that they’ll be a lot better in franchising once all the talent is under one banner, if an Indo team makes it that is.
Order 2-1 if they don’t play as bad as they did against Funcrew
There’s no way that’s real lmao, there’s no way some of them think Iran is in the middle of the Atlantic or in their own country
Easily SEN vs G2
How are NiP and VK relevant but Maru and DK aren’t? Both KR and BR are one team regions
Unfortunate, I remember thinking they’d beat Acend in that rematch
So prove to me how those teams are better than Optic then.
You're purely speculating as well. We have no clue how KR stacks up against JP until they played in the LCQ like you said, but you're judging the whole region off of one team? Saying JP did better than KR just because they placed higher in one event is dumb, does that mean BR are better than LATAM cause they also did better in Reykjavik? Literally contradicting your own list.
Optic beat DRX who were able to beat LEV. LEV also barely won against XSET off the back of 11 clutches, meanwhile Optic destroyed them.
Fnatic were only able to beat LEV off of a crazy clutch by Enzo and the only other team they beat were FPX with subs.
And Optic had a closer match against PRX then Guild did.
Why is everyone trying to discredit Optic?
DK and ONS look like they are on a low level because DRX is genuinely a tier above them. However, DRX also happens to be a tier above NTH, which at the moment is Japan's best team. Does competition really matter when the best teams you're sending are the likes of CR and NTH?
We just need to find a way to ship SEN, TSM, 100T, KCorp, KOI, G2, BBL, and Zeta to every event
NTH couldn't even get 10 rounds against DRX, you call that a good team? Even Damwon did better than that. And Zeta lost to that...
NU got 3rd? Also I genuinely want to see what bullshit you are going to make up to tell me that JP are currently a better region
he was rated as one of the top three IGLs in NA when he joined T1
whz wouldn't get away with half the plays he does in any other region though
he did well in the group stage but was pretty mediocre in the playoffs
Alright, so I did only true international matches and the only two regions that changed were NA and EMEA:
North America: 64-45 ~58.72%
100 Thieves: 6-2 ~75% - Improved
Sentinels: 19-8 ~70% - Improved
Optic Gaming: 28-21 ~57% - Worsened
Version1: 5-5 ~50% - No Change
Cloud9: 5-5 ~50% - No Change
XSET: 1-2 ~33% - Improved
The Guard: 0-2 ~0% - Worsened
EMEA: 87-54 ~61.70%
Gambit Esports: 18-7 ~72% - Improved
FunPlus Phoenix: 13-6 ~68% - Improved
Team Liquid: 17-8 ~68% - Improved
SuperMassive Blaze: 2-1 ~67% - Improved
G2 Esports: 11-7 ~61% - Improved
Acend: 7-5 ~58% - Worsened
Guild Esports: 4-3 ~57% - Improved
Fnatic: 15-17 ~47% - Worsened
True, I’ll try one with only international matchups to see what changes
I didn’t think about that. For the teams that probably led to some inflated stats, say from Optic beating NA teams, but I don’t think it has much effect on the region stats, since it should just cancel out.
EMEA/NA debate is over for now
I saw a comment on Reddit that described them well, the person said they play aggressively but not in like a good way, say like PRX organized chaos gameplay, more like Brazilian teams in 2021
I’m excited to see China play too, especially since EDG have been doing well in scrims
Yep, NA and EMEA were pretty much tied before xset bombed out, maybe they'll do better in Champs
