At least T1 tried to make a Korean team at the end but Gen.G have always been disappointing

posted about 2 years ago

It's not going to work lol, language is too important when it comes to a successful team. Either they build an all SEA/OCE roster that speaks fluent English, which will piss off the Korean fans, or they'll make an EA+SEA roster that will have the worst comms in history

posted about 2 years ago

Absolute joke in the scene, imagine if they end up picking Wronski over someone like Meteor

posted about 2 years ago

maybe making it out of play-ins strong but I wouldn't bet on them making it out of the group stage

posted about 2 years ago

Gen.G are going to get clowned on hard if they end up going SEA/Import and the roster flops

posted about 2 years ago

Duelists/Chamber: Meteor, t3xture, Sayaplayer, Bazzi, Foxy
Smokes: Sylvan, TS
Sentinels: k1ng
Initiators: Lakia, eKo, exy, JoXJo
Flex: allow, Suggest
Coach: bail

+xnfri if they end up going with a mixed roster

FNC
EG
DRX
RNG

ONIC already disbanded I thought
I doubt Talon buy the entire XIA roster since they have more talent to work with and sScary was already trying to find a new team after Champions
GE will keep at least 2 SA players in my opinion, especially since they are the 'SA rep'

Do you think that franchising will forfeit the viewership at Masters/Champions in return for higher regional viewership in the leagues? Like say if no JP teams or no LATAM teams are able to qualify through the leagues, won't that drop the viewership at actual big events?

Cerberus dropped their roster already

CR will be there soon but TSM and Order should be removed from the list. TSM said they plan to remain in Valorant for 2023 while Order were actually going to make franchising but financially exploded.

all orgs should be sponsored by hygiene products imo, would improve all esports in general

Busan or Seoul, personally I prefer Busan

What team are you most hyped to see in each region?

Americas: SEN
EMEA: NAVI
Pacific: T1

posted about 2 years ago

I agree, the regional league logos in league look great yet we get stuck with some random fonts, hopefully they are just placeholders

posted about 2 years ago

Pacific > EMEA >>> Americas

Whoever decided on the font for the Americas league needs to get fired

  1. You guys like to overestimate how bad the Korean scene is, teams like ONS are solid but you guys choose to forget that they were able to beat NTH. Sure DRX owns KR teams but PRX literally does the same to XIA and the rest of the APAC scene.
  2. Korea has tons of talent that just happens to not play in the region. You can make some crazy super teams out of the Korean players in NA (Xeta, Saya, Munchkin, Ban) + the Korean players in Japan (Meteor, JoXJo, Foxy9, iNTRO, Medusa, Astell, Suggest, HSK) + the rest of the Korean players on WGS/ONS/DK + k1ng
  3. Cry is free

you can have a cookie if they end up signing any English speaking players

Notice of start of recruitment of new members for "VALORANT Champions Tour PACIFIC LEAGUE"
Recruitment hurdles are getting higher, but we are looking forward to applications from players with various talents! (translated)

Where does it say that?

posted about 2 years ago

who says they're trying to recruit players outside of Japan?

posted about 2 years ago

instead of FPX won a masters event and top4 at champs. Fkin optic/envy who were top 3 at 4/5 international events they played out of 6 events that happened across 2 years.

Results don't mean anything for the twentieth time, think of VCT as the 'pilot' episode and franchising as the main show

posted about 2 years ago

JP has an abundance of flex/smoke players cause for some reason all of the Chamber and Duelist players are Korean or Russian imports

posted about 2 years ago

I thought it was already leaked that T1 were dropping steel and Thwifo though?

posted about 2 years ago

F for Fokus too, hopefully JUGi gets into a franchised team

posted about 2 years ago

For the following:
FPX
ACE
OPTIC
XSET
TGrd
CR
DK
XIA
ONIC
BOOM

Oceania
DACH
China
MENA

TSM (L CEO)
G2 (L CEO)

Thanks for the great memories :(

Teams need a good coach to rival DRX. DK had plenty of firepower but could never beat them, so I’d say that isn’t the issue. As for the team, Ssun, Meteor, and Saya’s roles overlap a little too much

posted about 2 years ago

I would guess just full Korean teams. BoDork leaked that Gen.G were split between a full KR roster or a mixed KR+APAC roster, but I think they’ll end up going with the former. I doubt players who aren’t Korean but can speak Korean would choose to move to Seoul, so I’d eliminate that as an option as well.

-ONS are going to fall apart, some players might get signed as individuals
-k1ng is def going to make it on a franchised team
-JoXJo, Meteor, and Bail will all get bought by Gen.G most likely
-T1 and Gen.G are wealthy but they won’t be able to touch DRX players

posted about 2 years ago

They should grab the core of Meteor, JoXJo, and Xnfri. The other two NTH players are kind of dead weight tbh

posted about 2 years ago

T1 look strong and Gen.G will be good if they end up picking up the NTH core (Meteor, JoXJo, xnfri)

posted about 2 years ago

EMEA: Solid overall but messed up that 3 Spanish, 2 French, and 2 Turkish teams got in yet no DACH teams
Americas: OPTIC done dirty, LATAM and BR slots are good, and EG are a boring brand to represent NA
APAC: OCE 💀

posted about 2 years ago

RIP DACH, OCE, G2, OPTIC, TSM, CR, and DK

posted about 2 years ago

DetonatioN Gaming are a massive org and are by far the most successful LJL team

posted about 2 years ago

Fennel was expected but CR not getting in is fucked. Losing TSM, G2, and now CR is a massive L for viewership

posted about 2 years ago

I agree with everything except I think Istanbul was a better tournament than Copenhagen - also OPTIC vs DRX or DRX vs FPX are definitely contenders for best match in my opinion

posted about 2 years ago

There is also no guarantee that the LCK orgs will only sign Korean players, especially with at least one being rumored to be interested in investing in Japan, yet everyone is coming to the conclusion that they will only sign Korean players. I’d also like to see XIA or BOOM get signed but I feel like you guys are antagonizing these LCK orgs a little too much by constantly expecting the worst.

posted about 2 years ago

5 Korean orgs does not mean 5 Korean rosters. How many times does this have to be said. It would be better to have ID or JP orgs represent their own rosters, but Korean orgs will be able to give financial stability to the league and already have proper facilities in Seoul. There are still upsides to this situation.

posted about 2 years ago

T1 are going to make it no matter what, if they didn't make it into the Americas league, expect to see them in KR

posted about 2 years ago

ummm.... idk what the owner and coach said but they are def not a top 5 org in Korea.
DK, DRX, Gen.G, T1, KT Rolster, and Freecs are all larger orgs with greater history than GE

posted about 2 years ago

Sentinels could be the best team in the world
if they were disciplined

they're a superteam with the best players from 2 different countries

they just lack discipline. But the players are INSANE.

posted about 2 years ago

DRX is the best FPS in Asia though ;-;

posted about 2 years ago

Just a reminder that T1 weren’t rumored to be involved in APAC, so I think there’s a high chance they make it into the Americas league
