I feel the way G2 play Valorant is just different, they don't rely on icy to make flashy plays for the most part, they'll enable him to take space but he will enable them to trade majority of the kills.

TMV and Sliggy gave a good analogy that they're kinda like NRG in the sense that they've a set strat ready for a round and if everything goes well they do it flawlessly but if things go south they fail to mid round and come up with something on the spot and it kinda shows.
