i don't think G2 or lev do well in playoffs either, the only route i see to top 4 is beating EDG then FNC (if they flounder) through uppers or
losing 1st round, then beating G2/lev(the other one), then EDG, then FNC

switching it with icebox or lotus(2 most played maps) really doesn't change anything

it does though, if ascent and lotus are switched in pick rate(lets say FPX play ascent twice so its 2/10 maps on viper on ascent)

thats 17/32 times(53%), which means viper wouldn't be the most played agent, which is the stat you are referencing in the title

even so, in a rematch (in same stage of a tournament, i.e playoffs-> playoffs, not groups-> playoffs) the loser wins the rematch 7/10 times in tier 1 matchups where there isn't a massive skill disparity (like KRU vs FPX at champs 22) so if FPX won that game i'd be heavily concerned for the level of EDG

there's a chance its FPX vs LEV and FUT vs TH which is so fucking stupid, but yeah ur right

not really, I just came into groups thinking FUT didn't match up well vs a lot of teams and TH having both visa issues and a sub hampers them
for FUT, I favored G2, FPX, GenG, and LEV stylistically coming into the event (now im not 100% certain on LEV, but i trust aspas more than cned) and those are the 4 teams i had making playoffs

yeah it'll definitely be close, especially if its a bo3. in a bo5 i think 100T is favoured by a wider margin though, GenG's endurance was shown to be not the best vs SEN, and the last 3 maps will be split/bind, ascent, and breeze

bro if its not Lev vs FUT and FPX vs TH it ruins my perfect pickems because i have both Lev and FPX making playoffs

if i was going to pick, Ascent towards 100T and breeze towards GenG, but even then its still 4-3 towards 100T.
100T has never lost more than 5 gun rounds on ascent while meteor had to have a life game (no pun intended) in order for GenG to win while going the distance vs FPX

how do you justify putting G2 above any of the 6 teams above them?
