Hello vlr, I'm proud to announce that Cloudberries are back and better than ever! First I'd like to (once again) bring up that we have a discord where we regularly host events (we recently played jeopardy) and is pretty active with some special guests. This week of premier was lotus, one of our more favorable maps but also a map we never got to play in premier. For the next few weeks Cloudberry (and partially I) will not be participating in games, so we have gotten a new player @E1ijah. With this move the current roster is 🇺🇸 Kamui 🇺🇸 Dignan 🇨🇦 Askrial 🇨🇳 Wukong 🇺🇸 Elijah 🇧🇩 aTopphat (goat)

We had to get a sub this week for our star duelist Kamui, so we had 🇨🇳 Saebr join us for a few games. We started the new season off hot winning a dominant map 13-3 thanks to hero plays from Topphat and Elijah. However on our second map we had a very rough first half at 2-10, we had a slight come back however we couldn't close it out and lost 6-13.

This ends week one of premier with 125 points and rank number 16 of open 3 (same division because we forgot to change players lol).

A very reliable source has told me that the replay system has actually been in development since episode 5 but it was on the back burner and given low priority due to pushes from Riot hq to prioritize microtransactions, the videos shown during the 'dev diaries' are actually pretty old and there is a working version of the replay system ready to ship however the Valorant team is not yet ready to publicize the replay client. With the current environment inside Riot, employees are encouraged to push features that monetise and get alot of users onto their games. No one is currently comfortable with pushing for the replay system as it will do neither of this inherently. The 'gifting' system is currently being pushed forward and a top priority for some executives and employees to climb in their careers as it is a simple feature will easily increase revenue.

I don't think they've ever talked about multistreaming specifically but leo Faria has talked about formats and group stages alot in his interviews with platchat iirc

I think they do not multistream because they want to highlight every game instead of making viewers choose either game or have to keep switching tabs

I think multistreaming is only really worth it in realy big tournaments, vct tournaments are relatively small and don't really need it imo

This just isn't true, are they discriminated against? Yes. Are they systematically opressed? Yes. But the Saudi police don't walk around and gun down everyone with a lgbtq flag. It is getting better, it's definetly slow and painful but there are movements being made. I wouldn't recommend visiting there if you aren't comfortable with it but I don't believe it's correct to bash riot and the orgs for this decision.
I understand where you are coming from with your argument but riot has being one of the few companies that has been promoting equality and lgbtq rights, all they have done here is sign a contract with an organization. Is the organization funded by a shady government? Yes. But riot has made it clear that they do not approve of what is happening and are not promoting anti lgbtq views.

To be clear these are not acceptable laws to have in your country and there has to be reform

With that being said these laws aren't heavily enforced either. For example flor wouldn't get shot down and killed the moment she steps on Saudi soil and wpuld probably be able to compete in the tournament, it'll just be more difficult (and borderline impossible tbh) for her to express herself comfortably

What do the tiers mean

It feels weird to point out and continually talk about human rights violations in Saudia Arabia but staying quiet about the ethnic cleansing done in China and in Isreal which is being funded by the US.
I get that you have to draw the line somewhere but this feels like a really weird place to draw the line to me esp when alot of vlr are generally misinformed and not really able to speak about it
