So guys, Furia just played the best Valorant the organization had ever shown, I'm really happy for what they showed, they smashed Sharks completely 🤭

I very much agree with you, that's why a bootcamp in Europe is so beneficial for Brazil, because it's the region that has the most professional teams playing and playing with every possible style, I really get worried about how Brazilian teams will adapt if they face new differents strategies in international tournaments, I'm not quite sure about that yet.

I agree, I go to the HLTV forum and there people are more trolls, but here many are toxic for free, I don't understand why people in this community have so much hate in their hearts, maybe it's because there are more kids in Valorant than in CSGO Idk

I would say that it is currently more difficult to decide the matches with the aim in Brazil, the level of Valorant has grown a lot and playing against Astra, Viper, Skye, Breach is much harder to win the games this way, In my opinion Furia's players are excellent and have excellent aim, but I think the team is not comfortable with the way they have allocated players in the roles they are playing

Writing long threads like this helps me improve my English, I like that.

Sharks e Havan imo. Yes, that's exactly what a Gamelanders did, but now the teams are much better.

I see that many people who do not follow my region are not understanding what is happening, so I decided to make this thread explaining.

The truth is that the teams that are not the best individually have taken an absurd leap tactically, the teamplay of these teams has improved a lot and it seems that they are missing very little so far, I will talk about each of the teams separately.

The order of the teams mentioned below is according to my personal powerranking to be more didactic

Young Sharks: After getting a slot in the Challengers 3 finals they decided to do 15 days of bootcamp in Serbia until the main event, they are not the best team individually in Brazil but they are very hardworking players who make good decisions in the middle of the round, I would say they they adapted very well to the meta post-bootcamp and dominated the Vivo Keyd in a resounding 2-0, it's still too early to say if they are currently the best team in Brazil, but I believe they are on the right track to qualify for Berlin.

Havan Liberty: It is collectively a very good team in which all players are flex, they are playing tactically in a charming way, the staff worked excellently during this tournament and they are presenting a very high level Valorant even without a superstar, they crushed Stars Horizon and Vikings by 2-0 both abusing the composition with 3 initiators, I'm curious to see how they will perform against Stars Horizon and Sharks (probably in the upper final)

Stars Horizon: Team that has always been very strong in Brazil and maybe the best individually, the aim of the 5 players is insane and DGzin is the best sniper in Brazil and the best player of all times in Crossfire, Pancada and Vinny also came from this game and play very well, Fuzari is the best sentinel in Brazil right now and Chase is perhaps the revelation of the year for being only 16 years old and being a beast. I would say they are good tactically and play very well with Skye/Astra composition, Fuzari has a good Viper but I think they are better with Cypher, they are the team that plays the most with KAY/O, they like that a lot.

Team Vikings: After the Berlin Masters they decided to completely reinvent themselves and reverse some roles between their players. Gtn from main duelist to flex, frz from flex to initiator, sacy from initiator to main duelist, saadhak from sentinel/flex to controller, and Sutecas from controller to sentinel. Initially they seemed to be playing well with these new changes but the level of the scene increased a lot, I personally didn't like Sacy's change without Sova, don't get me wrong, he's a great Jett and maybe he's the smartest player in Brazil, but with Sova he is the best in the world with the agent imo, because he plays very well clutch and has almost 100% accuracy with the ultimate. They were completely dominated by Havan in the upper bracket by 0-2 and I don't think they played badly, they were just surprised. Against Jaguares they won 2-1 and had a strange performance, made questionable decisions in rounds that could have cost the victory and they were almost eliminated 2-0, on the second map they put Sacy back with Sova and Gtn with Raze and won overtime, I honestly don't know what to expect from them next week but I believe they will come back stronger to face the loser between Havan Liberty and Stars Horizon.

Vivo Keyd: Perhaps the second best team in Brazil individually today, they were completely dominated by Sharks in the first round (lost 0-2) they struggled to conquer spaces on the map, after that they faced Gamelanders in the lower bracket and won 2-1 in a historic performance by Heat that dropped +37 in the series against Mwzera, had the best solo performance I've ever seen on Valorant on the map 3 (Haven) against them. I would say they are a team that win games in duels and aim, have the best Jett in Brazil and perhaps the best player currently, they play relatively well with Astra and Skye, but in my opinion Jhow limits the team playing only Killjoy, he had a good performance from Viper yesterday but I still have doubts about him, they have excellent players but I believe the teams above are tactically superior.

Furia: They kicked Teddy from the lineup and replaced him with “Mazin”, a very experienced player and multi-world Crossfire champion who played controller in the former Stars Horizon lineup. In my opinion they are a little lost in the current metagame and struggle to adapt each player to their role within the team, they tried to put QCK to play sentry/flex in Teddy's place (I think it's an absurd waste, the same as putting Neymar to play as defender), Xand has had a big individual decline since the last challengers but he returned to charge the team in the last series, it seems that Nozwerr doesn't play Sova anymore on all maps (worrying) and Mazin is the team's flex, in my opinion Khalil is a monster of Omen and Brimstone but he doesn't play Astra very well. In summary, they are still a team with amazing players but they can't abuse their aim like before and they have less firepower than they used to, they are tactically inferior to the teams above and I don't believe they will qualify, they have high ego players and not adapted to any style of play in this meta. They beat Gamelanders 2-1 in the first round of the Upper draft but I don't think that has merit, I believe they will be beaten by Sharks in the next round.

Jaguares (Eliminated): The youngest team in the tournament, eliminated Slick in qualify and some other teams with bigger hype and better players, I believe 4 of their players are 16 years old and the oldest is 17 or 18, made an excellent championship and played tactically as adults against Stars Horizon and almost eliminated Team Vikings yesterday, if I didn't wrong these kids came from Fortnite and were promising there, especially “Tisora”, honestly I'm proud of these boys and I believe they have a promising future at Valorant!

Gamelanders (Eliminated): What to say about this team? They lost 2-1 to Furia in the first round and then were eliminated by Vivo Keyd 2-1 in the Lower Bracket. They haven't evolved at all tactically since the last Challengers and still insist on rush without thinking and facing unnecessary duels cuz have Mwzera and Jonn in the lineup. I don't know if it was the staff's decision not to train the meta picks and insert Breeze and Split into the pool, but they looked like they were playing first time Skye and Sage, they have two main duelists and Jonn even tried to play Skye and Sage but was very bad, on the other hand Nyang adapted very well with Viper and surprised me, Fznn played poorly in the most important split championship as usual, and Belky also played poorly in the main event (although I think he is the best Astra in Brazil). I don't know what to expect from this team honestly, it seems that as a matter of ego the players believe they don't need to play with the meta picks and keep losing while the other teams are constantly evolving, the organization's staff did a very bad job and they are a tactically dumb and predictable team, if they don't win the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) I sincerely hope a disband from this lineup so that Mwzera goes to a better team (maybe Vikings, please).

I hope I managed to summarize well what is happening with the Brazilian Valorant, friends who are following our scene can complement it with additional information that I did not mention in the comments.

Thank you! ;)

One of the best individual performances I've seen in Brazil, Heat was INSANE today

Que porra de performance foi essa do Heat na Haven? Uma das melhores que eu ja vi no Valorant, INSANO

VK picked Breeze GL Bind decider Haven

Se fosse pra jogar de Raze seria melhor split

posted about 3 years ago
