Otherwise 3-1 EDG

Shion7, Nicc, and TvirusLuke really stepped up. Nicc had so many crucial clutches and Shion7 did so good overall. It feels honestly like TE got dragged into the DRG swamp, where DRG will win every clutch.
I haven’t seen too much from TE on Split or Bind, they should be ok though. If they lose Split it gets interesting.
DRG ban Lotus
TE ban Icebox
DRG pick Breeze (DRG 13-11)
TE pick Sunset (TE 13-7)
DRG ban Ascent
TE ban Bind
Split remains (DRG 16-14)
DRG ban Lotus
EDG ban Ascent
DRG pick Breeze (EDG 13-6)
EDG pick Sunset (EDG 15-13)
DRG ban Bind
EDG ban Icebox
Split remains
I think the map pool is bad for DRG, they need to ban Lotus more than EDG does. That being said, if they get early momentum on Breeze or Vo0kashu does a Vo0kashu on Sunset they have a chance. It’s gonna be tough though.
Nova ban Breeze
DRG ban Lotus
Nova pick Ascent (DRG 13-4)
DRG pick Icebox (DRG 13-11)
Nova ban Bind
DRG ban Sunset
Split remains
Is this a real clove or just saving strats? I thought BerLIN said was only ranked agent? Is icebox that far lost?
I am pretty sure that DRG saves strats quite often, either they were doing that all last year or trolling their map picks.
DRG ban Lotus
TYL ban Icebox
DRG pick Breeze (DRG 13-9)
TYL pick Split (DRG 13-11)
DRG ban Bind
TYL ban Sunset
Ascent remains
I heard that DRG were really good at scrims on sunset and breeze. Trace likely say their in game performance, but DRG was ready.
DRG were good in scrims, also I think it might be their best chance against TE considering TE’s performances.
TE ban Icebox
DRG ban Lotus
TE pick Sunset (TE win 13-7)
DRG pick Breeze (DRG win 13-11)
TE ban Ascent
DRG ban Bind
Split remains (TE win 15-13)
TE 2-1 DRG
I think DRG has the potential to do better on sunset than I think, and they could pull something out on Breeze or Split too, but TE are a more solid team. They are the favorites, after all.
Oh my god what a map, and what a comeback. On bind no less, that’s symbolic.
Edit: Yuchen breathing a huge sigh of relief.
A really interesting matchup where JDG’s permaban (Breeze) DRG doesn’t usually play well on, and DRG’s permaban (Lotus) JDG hasn’t done particularly well on either.
JDG ban Breeze, DRG ban Lotus
Both team permabans
JDG pick Sunset (JDG should win)
DRG uninspiring in this map
DRG pick Split (DRG might be slightly favored?)
DRG might pick icebox, but their wins have been helped by being attacker side first
JDG ban icebox, DRG ban bind, ascent remains. (Could go either way)
DRG fan: what are you doing? We are going to miss Masters Shanghai?
DRG coach and players: we’re not aiming for Masters Shanghai.
(They’re saving strats just trust me)
