omega bracket is bad, they also have still yet to play the only 2 teams who actually are in standing to move onto playoffs. Until I see them either beat 100T or Lev I still think they are Mid. (Yes I know sen lost to EG and Kru did not but Kru did not win a major recently even if it was a "Micky mouse" major)

I had this in an earlier thread but I type essays and realized it should get its own place to be addressed

I know it is addressed a lot but these brackets and group stages are designed so horribly. the fact that there is a chance 4 of the 6 teams in omega dont even win a single game while Kru is
4-0 but still is not locked in for playoffs. Super one sided and stupid and I realized that next split if all the teams were the same as they are now and they had to play within their group it is STILL super unfair as it would give the top teams in omega an even easier road as Lev 100 thieves and Loud/EG would have to play MIBR and Furia the 2 worst teams right now and be able to move on while NRG SEN Cloud9 KRU and G2 all middle or high in the pack would have to battle it out again where even one loss could cost you champs qualification. Especially since the points dont really matter as Sen already started the year off with 6 ahead of everyone else. IT IS SO STUPID (not even just to sen as they have actually benefited a lot chaps wise)

we shall see, nrg might be the ones to not only time will tell. regardless while we wait I choose to spend my time typing up these "essays" as I enjoy it. YOU dont have to waste your time reading them or typing useless comments. Go watch your "superteam" be subpar.

Kru has set the course now of how sen could still qualify and it isn't looking to bad

Obviously Sen must win both their games against Loud and Furia which should not be to hard since Loud looks bad but then again every time the team Sen has to play loses before their match and looks horrible ends up coming back and having a god game and beats them. (not making excuses as sen also has been missing a lot of their shots)

either way its up to sen to win both, it still does not need to be a 2-0 in terms of maps but it definitely cannot hurt.

if sen do beat loud now it will mean that no matter what loud will not be able to qualify as they will not meet the 2 win requirement

that leaves EG to take the last spot in omega, so long as EG loose to NRG which I would say is pretty likely, given how things have been I am not to sure. If NRG does not beat EG then that spins off a whole new win factor that I dont even want to think about right now but will post if enough people actually care enough and want to know.

Now that EG would also not be able to meet the 2 win requirement team alpha would get an extra slot for playoffs leaving it down to most likely G2 and Sen (I say most likely because again there are some slight other alternatives like NRG or cloud9 some how going 4-2 or 3-3 and a chance that KRU could go 4-2 which would mean a lot would come down to map differential which is important then)

Anyways so long as Sen win their 2 maps it would come down to G2 and whether or not they will win both their games against MIBR and loud. again I would like to say loud will win or be better by then but there is no guarantee. Still there are plenty of chances and nothin is solidified beside Lev.

Side note:
I know I am only talking about Sen as they are the team I support but I am happy to do other teams win factor and I try not to be biased. I personally think sen should not qualify and get some much needed rest and strategy so that come chaps they could actually win as the constant playing never lets teams have proper time to win all 3 majors and even helps to explain why Fnatic couldn't win all 3 as people just got use to how they played.

For this game KRU vs Loud:
it doesn't really matter the important game was G2 losing to lev. All this game does is decide which direction sen will lean to in terms of options.

1 option:
Kru beat loud, that will lean us towards the option of alpha having a 4th spot as it would lean towards loud not getting 2 wins

2 option:
Kru loose to loud, this will lean more towards kru and g2 going 3-3 while sen go 4-2

Overall both options each have there own risk but I think it is more likely that kru loose their next 3 games and g2 loose at least 1 more while sen win their last 2
option 2 also gives sen more leeway if they lose another game like to loud as we already are expecting loud to get 2 wins in this option and then it would be down to map diff between kru g2 and sen as they all will most Likly be 3-3

option w does however mean that if the win their 2 and at least g2 loose one more they will move on regardless as they would be 4-2 and g2 would be 3-3 or even 2-4 but if they go 4-2 as well it would come down to map win or rounds.

again it is just to soon to decide right now but I hope this helps so that as we move further on we will all understand which option is best.

That is whole other point to which is maybe they shouldn't go to Shanghai and get to prep like all these other teams did because they haven't really gotten a break to really rework things.

BASED (I am totally not biased what so ever)

After watching today and seeing all the Madrid Micky mouse tournament stupidity I started to wonder which year was more competitive. It is a hard thing to judge and like most things on this site I am sure there is no right answer. I would argue though that last year a lot of teams changed their roasters a lotttt, not just sen. this caused new dynamics and even language barriers that took. while to move past. I think given how most of the EG players who won last year are all bottom fragging for their teams kind of shows this. I think teams were so unpredictable even more then now and trust me they still are now that it allowed for teams like EG to win it all or KRU to go on a LCQ run of the century or even NRG to lose to the likes of billi billi. I am not saying it's perfect now but I think it only gets better and I do believe some if not most teams now could definitely beat the old EG winning roaster. Even sen started to beat PRX heard in scrims the second they added johnQT. Either way the games changes and we will never know but I wouldn't start calling things Micky mouse tournament regardless as they are hard to win regardless and you can't compare the teams now vs the teams before.

Lastly quick side note but you act like Sen should not have won but if they didnt go no NA team as of then would have so just be happy NA took it home. Also EMEA was decent then and I feel like they have only gotten stronger as each team is now pretty even with each other. ANd Pacific is definitely stronger as DRX look great and PRX are coming back into form while also the new additions of GenG and team secret are helping to grow the area as well. I know a lot of you hate sen but I don see any other team right now besides them being able to win shanghai (I mean how they were at masters Madrid not now)
