your stat will be purer if you count:
quantity of players from the country in VCT EMEA
divided by
quantity of players from the country in Valorant on EU servers

Still your figure of Lithuania will be higher than Russia has, but at least it will be more fair index

P.S. in your calculations it should be 39 Russian players for 1 Lithuanian player to be at the same level. Right?

???

Besides Russian players, only 1 player has no organisations from his home Sub-region in VCT EMEA. It's tomaszy from Portugal.

posted 10 months ago

Lithuanian players have no problems to play in EMEA and play on bootcamps unlike Russian players. Don't tell me that it's not a big problems for tier-1 teams.
As well right now there are 0 orgs from CIS region in EMEA, but East Europe (what Lithuania is par of) has 1 team. It's a good improvement for the whole region.
In such situation it's even bigger surprise that we have more than 0 or 1 players from CIS region in VCT EMEA

hopium. Navi never signs players with Russian passport ever again. They signed Suy and Shao cuz they were in the full team

posted 10 months ago

any problems?

posted 10 months ago

I think no one should protest against it. Neither them nor others. For them - it's a huge bonus. For others - why not.
I just envy as a Russian-speaking fan)))

posted 10 months ago

have own T2 league and also are residence of another big region. Envy them))

posted 10 months ago

because look there. what organizations got the slots. Have you seen them in top 8 in the past 3 events? Half of them - no. Obviously they will pick up the strongest players from these teams. if they want to be strong and competitive

posted 10 months ago

I'm sure all 15 players from top-3 teams will be in VCT

posted 10 months ago

It's a good question. If Riot counts Jemkin or Kr1stal or Something as imports then they might count Wippie as an import too

posted 10 months ago

ofc they should. but I think they won't do anything. as they do nothing with the whole Ru-speaking league in Valorant and LoL respectively. For them that region doesn't exist

w/o tryouts?

posted 10 months ago

This post like a real fat trolling. isn't it?

posted 10 months ago

Something told that on his stream once, that tryouts in EMEA or NA it's kind of dangerous for Asian players (geographically). They can't tryout with ping 150-200 from their homes. They need to fly to European part to potential Serbia by 2-4 plans with their equipment, and probably get a rejection after all. Then fly back home. And all of it for their own money from their pockets. During such a huge and expensive travelling they could have tryouts in Asian teams

Why don't you consider the first 2 tournaments of the year(even Lock In was Mickey Mouse tournament but still Top-1 and Top-2 were well deserved there, than other places). Then Champions GC #3 was G2 Gozen (EMEA). In your topic it's wrong. Why do you separate Brazil and NA? When it's part of Americas region. Etc

maybe Riots/Tencents will say: RA is too small organisation for us. We let LNG our slot (team has 25 points for 3 tournaments) and players will look for a new "house" etc. Or maybe Them to force LNG to buyout roster of RA. Names were taken spontaneously as an example
It all will depend on the rules and agreements

Is it about orgs or about players?
If it's about players, then 7-9 are jokes.
If it's about orgs then all "wishes" can be irrelevant, except for EDG, BLG, FPX, RNG, IG, LGD and maybe RA, ASE, NIP, TYLOO

posted 11 months ago

people will forget it. People remember Winners and the Finals only. Not everyone remember that M5 gave a tougher fight than Azubu Frost against TPA in 2012. But everyone remember only TPA (and maybe Azubu)
