Let's say my friend is suicidal.

His father died in the military and he lives with his mom. His grandparents and his mom split ways and no longer contact each other. His mom is toxic af and a slut, she started getting fucked right after her husband left the military. He gets beaten up by his mom and also emotional abuse like "you are not worth living" "you are trash" etc. He sometimes gets beaten by his moms temporary bf. Just listening to it pained my heart.I couldn't find a way to convince him to stop crying. Its just so painful to just hear it.

What would you guys say to stop him from crying and being suicidal? Please need some comforting comments.
