by Malaysian I meant the Malaysia Indonesia sub region of apac
Also by an automatic spot I mean that under any result of qualifier, a Japanese team will attend every masters event. This is not true for the Malaysia/Singapore region. My suggestion wouldn't be to remove them from the circuit entirely but integrate them with Korea and china and redistribute their slot to a new turkey and mena region

posted about 2 years ago

It isn't like everyone holds the exact same opinions for every situation in my case I just want to see the strongest teams attending lan and I dont think giving Japan an automatic spot achieves this in any way.

posted about 2 years ago

The problem with this line of thinking is that a single team in a single event performing shouldn't merit the entire region retaining their slots you could use the same argument to say Malaysia deserves an automatic spot due to paper rex's success if jp are good enough they should be able to qualify anyways.

posted about 2 years ago

because they made it almost impossible for them to qualify for an event

posted about 2 years ago

give me a good jp take

posted about 2 years ago

so does turkey and yet they have the impossible task of qualifying through europe

yeah it was a real upset that lev knocked down kru

they want to avoid same group being on same side of the bracket, same with na1 and eu1
they also want the winners of the groups not face to face na1 or eu1 in the first match to reward winning the group
this means b2 and a1 aswell as a1 and b2 being pairs on each side of the bracket
they want to put a1 on the same side as eu1 as it contains na2 who are expected to win the group for the same reason b1 is bracketed near na
the only thing random is the placement of sea1 and sa1
the bracket will look like this
eu1 vs (group containing eu2) seed2
sea/sa1 vs (group containing na2) seed1
na1 vs (group containing na2) seed2
sea/sa1 vs (group containing na2) seed1
so it is random but the only aspect is a flip of a coin to determine prx and lev placement

2-1 guild, guild have done a good job of shutting down star duelists and if this trend continues I predict a suprise victory over the APAC champions.

i feel an fpx suprise 2-1

jp dont deserve an automatic spot

if fnc play god on lan, emea top 3 would also be likely if the bracket wasn't fucked

zeta would win lcq nth idk I would favour dk regardless of the result today

seeing as suygetsu can play playoffs i think it is fair to want fpx to win to see the full roster finally play an international

csgo major uses 16 teams and it is a great format

24 teams doesent work well with swiss

This is due to optic messing up vs guild otherwise they would be on the other side of the bracket

Posted this somewhere else sorry if it is badly explained
Many don't understand the similar draws but it as flaw of riots system alongside optic being upseted fpx underperforming due to sub

sea/sa1 vs (group containing na2) seed1
so it is random but the only aspect is a flip of a coin to determine prx and lev placement

it is due to teams messing up, if na2 won their group then they would be on the other side, same for eu2 this is the same issue as Reykjavik

posted about 2 years ago

i remember when derke tested negative and they could play with their star player if they could just beat japan's first seed
