and two, Edg was and still is the only consistently good chinese team. Most of china is wildly inconsistent and just subpar all around, EDG is constantly a threat that teams have to be ready for. DRG and Xi Lai not so much, sure they can have a life game against a decent team and sneak out a win but beyond that it's almost always just sad to watch-

He'll most likely do a bit worse. If he commits to neon I fear TH will have similar problems that Full sense had and they'll be nerfing themselves. If He gets off of neon and goes to Jett or Raze he's gonna fall off HARD, He's a hard neon crutch which power to him is valid considering how good Neon was. But at the same time if he can't run the Jett/Raze then I fear TH will be a lot worse than they were in stage 1. Maybe you put Koshmaras back onto a more flex role and have woot play primary duelist? But then you run into the same problem GPA and AX ran into when he was in tier 2, He's good, but his util leaves a lot to be desired and usually doesn't result in anything meaningful.

Koshmaras is a good player...but he's a good NEON player in a phoenix meta. (That's a sentence I never thought was possible yet here we are.)

genuinely just put CN back in APAC as a subregion in the new system. For one it allows you to Drop Secret and Varrel in exchange for two competent chinese players (Prolly EDG and Xi-lai if I had to pick). Two, They'll improve faster playing against better teams which will help them catch up with the rest of the competition quicker than they will just playing with each other. The rest of China goes to play in APAC Tier 2 where they will also get to have consistent matches against BETTER players, allowing them to adapt at a slightly higher pace rather than constantly playing against other worse Chinese teams. Then when a Chinese team makes it to a regional or a major, people won't be so quick to look away from them because they genuinely had to fight GOOD teams to get there rather than being handed a free spot by Tencent. They Will have had to go head to head with teams like BOOM, Sharper, and Oasis then later in Regional stages, teams like T1, KRX, PRX, Etc etc, showing they genuinely have what it takes.

The best of the Chinese t2 teams will fight the best of APAC's T2 teams. The ones that can't do anything past china will be overlooked yeah, but chinese crowds are going to get more hype when their favorite teams actually get through into a masters. Teams like EDG and XI-lai will face better teams more consistently, making them even better than they are now.

Then when a Chinese team makes regionals, people won't be so quick to look away from them because they genuinely had to fight GOOD teams to get there rather than being handed a free spot by Tencent. China could also have it's own Subregion in the new system like turkiye if Riot still wanted to give them some perks thanks to their viewership.

It's genuinely a good idea, it helps china improve and makes them look BETTER in the eyes of the public.
