it can also happen if you put milk in the freezer and forget to take it out. doesn't freeze entirely but becomes chunky like that but still not expired
i remember ludwig telling an entire story about this on stream once
Best: coffee (without any of that creamer or sugar bs, just coffee)
Honorable mention: water but specifically when it's at 3am and you woke up in a cold sweat
Worst: pickle juice (i don't like pickles and despise pickle juice)
The vast majority of any game's playerbase does not watch twitch. By your metric, Roblox and Minecraft are also lying about their playerbase count because their "average" streams don't break 1k views
Give Wingman 17 More Nuclear Devices
A good and sensible idea. My one warning with that is to not let that friend become -too- attached to you. I've had many people in my life that took my kindness and willingness to listen as an indication to become their personal therapist on every part of their life, which I'm obviously not qualified to do.
But if it's temporary/just venting, or if it's not insanely serious, then this is easily the best approach. Just having someone to listen to helps out a lot sometimes.
cloudberry and canadaman make this website bearable
the rest is a coinflip sometimes
that being said sometimes if i want to laugh i just look for any old trembo post
isn't cypher basically mandatory on pre-rework Sunset too?
yeah i thought they were cooking with the international roster but taking the LATAM out of the LATAM org makes me sad
i don't think it's an internet issue. i've been getting this on ethernet. i thought it was something with my computer since it's new but i'm glad i'm not the only one with this problem. everytime i click lock in there's like a 1-second delay between the click and the animation actually showing the locking in.
if i were to guess, this is just a visual bug, though i haven't had a situation where two people click lock-in at the same time to see if that affects anything.
all the bang hate has been stemming from the rumors that he's replacing tenz on sentinels. he's always been good and honestly underrated at points. if it weren't for the rumors he wouldn't even be mentioned in these threads tbh
i can assure you that OP is a lev fan and just has the spg flair because of apac ascension
(i'm also a lev fan)
0-7 on icebox is crazy lmao (i say with a 40% overall winrate on ass-scent)
It might be an internal issue with the way Riot handles transactions. The obvious answer is to give it a day and see if it fixes itself. If you'd rather not wait, I do think doing the gift card approach will work since it's not a transaction, just entering a code
what sort of errors? like using a card or something?
pro tip for those unaware: if you buy gift card codes through Amazon, you get the bonus VP too and you don't pay taxes like you would if you bought them through the Valorant client
i leave VLR for a day and suddenly there's a legal battle ohmahgawd

i'm a recent college grad, now an engineer
yeah... i'm all for criticizing and calling out people for spreading misinformation, that much i'm still pretty concrete on. the doxxing is a line that shouldn't ever be crossed. there's a limit
MaKo
SugarZ3ro
Less
Meteor
berLIN
my top 5 vct usernames imo. all cool in their own right
i have little patience for people that actively spread misinformation and try to act like they're legit
should he wish to come back and be an honest contributor to the valorant pro scene then i'll welcome him back with open arms. if he wants to try and keep spreading misinformation i hope he stays inactive
edit: just learned that it was because he got doxxed. pretty fucked if true, hope he's alright
i've always rated bang since he dunked on TSM while being in TSM's own academy, but zander makes a GOOD argument for picking him instead
ultimately a smart org would trial them both and pick whichever one fits best with the team
i mean... as soft as this game is i unironically think that was a good decision. the amount of randos i play with on soloq that see the opponent rank in overwolf and immediately give up on the game is crazy. this would be 5x as bad if ranks could still be seen in the regular client
this suggestion on draws is really stupid though. it's just asking for someone to be the target of mass reporting or something else for pressing a button
bro even had to edit his comment to double down lmao, weirdo behavior. glad you're calling him out
i'm sure the comments on this thread will be respectful. can't wait to check back on this in an hour
i'm getting more and more convinced anyone that posts anything from rocketbullets is just a plant to get him more attention
in the US, university/college sports are VERY big, to the point where there are entire teams and programs dedicated to one sport. That's what a collegiate sport is -- just a university team that competes in a sport.
if you talk to an American about football, chances are they'll mention college football, because it's huge. same with college basketball (march madness is very popular).
Many American universities have esports programs, many of which include Valorant. There are already a handful of ex-pros playing for some college teams -- ec1s (ex-100T) and jcStani (ex-GenG) competed for Maryville University. Also, Blinn College's team (with the same name) competed in NA Challengers this year.
either that or some internal issues in the locker room. either way i'm convinced it's temporary, and either way with the new format they're probably qualifying for the WC and somehow making it to the semis anyway
lack of confidence. i argue they have a better squad than argentina, just none of the confidence in their ability
and we beat them in qualifiers last tuesday so it stings a little less now
friendship ended with all valorant roster reporters, now cloudberry is my best friend
my hot take is that the way group stages are done in tournaments is dumb af, they should just be 4-team tables with points like they do in the fifa world cup (at least for champs where there are many groups and teams.... for masters idek just the number of teams at a masters is kinda silly imo)
wouldn't change much except allow a team that has already been eliminated to potentially ruin someone's tournament by stealing a map and eliminating another team off map difference
more chaos
Stopped reading at "it's rocket"
stop giving him attention please
Best: Astra and Clove (I've gotten more comfy with Clove and the Astra star buff made her fun again)
Worst: Yoru (just don't play him enough. if i'm ever on duelist i go raze, jett, or even iso)
honestly i see this happening. the moment he and sacy announced their retirement everyone went rostermania mode and expect there to be a decision on the roster immediately.
like i for sure see curry playing in RBHG because that's been his job as the sixth man. TenZ could probably also play as a last hurrah if another player hasn't been picked up (unless they decide to pull Tarik in like that time they had Shroud for a few games)
Give Wingman 9 Nuclear Devices
and ascent
not to mention i already play two lotus games every day. riot loves giving me lotus and sunset over any other map
There is no other option really -- that's why I'm saying what's done is done. Right now the T2 system isn't stable enough for a lot of orgs to manage financially but hopefully in the coming years it'll stabilize. That Acend announcement does leave the door open for them to return 2026 assuming things get better
I agree but I will forever say this... franchising came too soon and started too small. if they waited another year and/or started franchising with 15 teams instead of 10 per league... we'd probably see much fewer orgs leave the scene. Acend would probably still be around.
Unfortunate, but what's done is done
Expected, given that he wanted to retire last year. Still an inspirational part of Valorant and a big reason why Valorant became so popular with casual audiences. I don't think the pro scene would've ever been the same without him, and as annoying as his fans got sometimes, it only speaks for how influential he really was.
Thanks for your service, GOAT o7
I agree now, but before franchising there was the possibility of T1 valorant growing enough to fill more leagues. Franchising actively killed most prospective T1 teams.
In NA (as an example), if franchising didn't happen, it might have had a 10-team league on its own with known orgs (think TSM, Shopify, Luminosity, etc... hell, maybe even GenG since they were in NA pre-franchising). LATAM would be a different thing since only KRU and LEV were (and still really are) the only good/well-known non-Brazilian teams, but a combined LATAM/BR league pre-franchising would've also worked (think LOUD+MIBR+FUR+Vivo Keyd/Keyd Stars for Brazil and orgs like KRU/LEV/RETA/AK/FUSION for the rest of LATAM)
There just isn't the money in T2 right now that would incentivize orgs into competing. Now that TSM is out of Ascension (example) I honestly predict they will drop the roster or have the roster bought out by another org.
The other regions I also agree but I don't have much knowledge about region strength. Korea and Japan could probably create their own league but then the rest of APAC would be in a weird limbo, and China still being separate still makes things awkward. EMEA is fine as is.
TL;DR we wouldn't have this discussion if Riot waited another year to start franchising, or if they didn't do franchising to begin with
Galorys beating M80 after losing to TSM would be prime South American chaos in action
