No way bonkers vs bobo is this early, was hoping to see BFG vs both of them.

It's OCE Global Esports idiots now, get with the times.

Easy W, Mini MVP. Boaster in awe drops out of the main roster and we go on to win Champs 2023, Mini wins the Ballon d'Or

posted about 2 years ago

We going the League of Legends route of pretending the OCE scene doesn't exist from the look of it.

posted about 2 years ago

It still has big potential as long as the rumours aren't true. There is absolutely no reason for there to be 5 Korean teams and it just messes the entire system up.

posted about 2 years ago

Bruh be happy you're getting 5 many of us in APAC are fighting to just get 1.

posted about 2 years ago

That's only temporary though, there's no guarantee that Reforce in that situation would continue to support the development of Thai talent in the long term. It may be a slow process, but this bias towards Korea will eventually end with the majority of the league becoming Korean, since that's where the majority of the money and support is going.

posted about 2 years ago

It'll be bad for all these regions, I'm especially afraid for OCE. We already have very little going for us and all the regions we're competing with are about to get a huge injection of money and sustainability and OCE is going to rot away into nothing. The money from Riot would have been huge in giving a little development to the region and giving players a pathway to actually going pro, instead, we're probably going to remain as a bunch of Free Agent teams competing in $100 tourneys. It really sucks because I really believe we have a lot of talent here, just not the resources to give them the success they deserve.

If this is all just to give Korea 5 slots then the bias couldn't be more disappointing.

posted about 2 years ago

My main issue is that all that money is going to be going into Korean infrastructure, even with the protection for rosters they will eventually be dropped anyway, and in the end, that will lead to zero development for the countries within SEA. We're completely relying on successful minor leagues which is a huge gamble.

posted about 2 years ago

Korean orgs will always be Korean, doesn't matter if they pick up SEA players. Easy for you to accept since you are spoilt for choice.

posted about 2 years ago

Korean orgs will always be Korean, you can't change that by picking up a SEA roster for a bit. They will do nothing to build the South East Asian regions.

posted about 2 years ago

A Korean org pretending to represent Thailand, Indonesia or Australia isn't going to work. They're Korean, it'll feel forced and fake.

Easy for Korean fans to accept as they're going to have multiple guarenteed teams to support while for other countries we're relying on the Korean orgs picking up our players, and then they can drop them at any moment.

posted about 2 years ago

FPX the org get accepted easily, they're a Chinese org and Riot have had a great partnership with them in League of Legends. The only way I see them not getting in is if Riot is planning to open a Chinese league soon and FPX is one of the starting franchises.

I do miss BraveAF but I think Enzo has done his job really well, a lot of his actions aren't seen in game like Boaster, who has also had bad tournaments, but Enzo and Boaster being able to spring ideas off of each other as IGLs is invaluable. We'll see what the future holds but I don't think they should be so quick to drop anybody.

Really thought that was gonna happen, rip. Nice try.

If it's true and not a troll, I knew that meet and greet was a mistake. If it is a troll, thank god. Either way, he can still play.

You're being too kind to him.

Majority support and expect great things from APAC because the fanbase is generally humble about the consistent success they've had (especially PRX, honestly the most likeable team and fanbase imo). Many Brazilian fans have grown delusional over a singular 2nd place, they need a reality check like 2021.

posted about 2 years ago

You get 2nd one tournament and grow deluded. I am afraid for the Brazillian players future with these expectations.

Order aren't even the first OCE team to be on the receiving end of Indonesian death threats. Happened to players on Bobo (Bonkers) too, people are just ignoring it now.

posted about 2 years ago

Particularly an APAC issue, whenever a tournament comes around people can't handle any kind of banter. The players are often (not always) equally bad as the fans with this as well. Everything is taken so personally when it isn't, it's a game.

posted about 2 years ago

We have some okay orgs in the region but imo Order currently is the only strong org we have the in region, with two of our top 4 being completely orgless for a long time now. Would definitely be easier for the region as I think we have some seriously good players coming into the scene now, but just don't have the facilities to build on that. It just sucks to watch sometimes.

Sadly for you all we do is lose, no need to cope when it's all we know

posted about 2 years ago

One quote and ya'll be malding, like I said, rent free and it's great.

posted about 2 years ago

True that, I'm not saying it's bad, I've just enjoyed seeing it a lot.

posted about 2 years ago

Literally just a dude talking up his team, OCE population is tiny and we have barely any infrastructure so of course we're underdogs, if you can't handle what he said you're just fragile. It's all in good fun.

posted about 2 years ago

For sure, it's good fun as the underdog as we have a lot less to lose, it would have been brutal if BOOM lost hahaha.

posted about 2 years ago

Disappointing to lose but hilarious to see how rent free ORDER live in Indonesians heads. ggwp!

The rDeeW/WRONSKI role swap has backfired hard

posted about 2 years ago

If there's anything I know for sure about the OCE region, it's that you're going to forget about us in a weeks time.

posted about 2 years ago

Gotta expect it and take it on the chin when the players themselves talk trash, isn't a big deal. They've gotta show up in game if they don't want to be clowned on.

posted about 2 years ago

Only someone from the Gabonese Republic could have such a bad take.

posted about 2 years ago

To be fair we already knew our place, it's just the aussie way to chat shit.

posted about 2 years ago

Australia is a part of APAC, but still gets done dirty. No reason why OCE shouldn't get multiple teams. Might change when NA orgs start taking our spots for franchising but I doubt any of the OCE teams will get any chance for awhile.

Can't have a Mini & Boaster in every game, as much as I'd like it to be so.

posted about 2 years ago

1st and 2nd frag I don't think you can decide what kind of player they are.

posted about 2 years ago

Why would we have two Sentinel players? Magnum was kicked because Fnatic wouldn't play Chamber with him on the team. Ranked =/ VCT level.

posted about 2 years ago

Main problem wasn't that Magnum couldn't frag, he was really food, don't know why that's being said. We just needed a Chamber player, and Magnum as the Sentinel player was the clear person to replace.

posted about 2 years ago

Chamber, sadly. Meta isn't great for the current roster and they want to end the reliance on Derke.

Read the post instead of reacting to the headline.

posted about 2 years ago

Starting to think 60% of you can't read. The takes in this thread mske it obvious you didn't look even a couple sentences past the headline

posted about 2 years ago

If you're going to have a dumb take at least read the post past the headline so you can seem at least slightly informed.

posted about 2 years ago

Why comment something like this if you're not going to read the context. They're not benching based on performance.

posted about 2 years ago

The entire team has been set up to enable Derke for a long time, so of course he gigacarries.

posted about 2 years ago

He's in the hotel since he has to quarantine for 7 days. Just some teams get to play from the hotel while others don't and obviously Riot won't communicate why.
