I think its mostly because LATAM and BR are split up into different VCT circuits with a spot for champs. Which maybe should have happened with CIS and TR.

I wonder if its also just trying to get out of the NA ecosystem trying to get more experience playing against different regions. Also, I think EMEA T2 is really good so more teams to scrim against.

Im concerned about the beginning of the rosters ascension period. Since the Org is getting the spot and not the team what is to stop the org from dropping 3 players and "upgrading" before the players that earned the spot in the first place get a chance to compete in the regional league. Player unions or whatever may be able to help but IDK.

There will be a stacked group and an easy group. My prediction is that Riot is going to stick Loud, Optic, and Fnatic into a group and VLR will burn for a day or two.

I agree actually. CIS and TR could be their own regions with their own VCT events.

I think you can build more international competition in other regions by giving them a chance to play some of the best teams.
