You’re trippin he’s talking about Kickoff groups. TL fell out in the double elim stage so you can’t really blame the format they didn’t make it.
I would love for this to happen because I feel like net can be an amazing player, he just needs some sort of reset I wanna see him on another team as well.
It is very clear who on this site understands when an individual is good and it’s very clear who only rates players based off their teams results. There is such thing as talented players who have not achieved insane results international.
Yeah, definitely don’t underrate just how much the cool player card factor will sell. Also they have Apsas who I think will have a lot of fans following any team he’s on.
If you want statistics there’s nothing more clear than comparing EG’s results without him to their results with him. No other one individual player has ever improved a team so much. Sorry for the Demon1 glaze I’m not even a fan, I just think it would make the most sense for player of the year.
I feel like if you want to say one player for the entire year it’s gotta be Demon1 because he was a rookie in the beginning coming into a super poorly rated EG and managed to be the spear of the team that turned into world champs.
I like the way APAC looks in like the mid section meaning the 4-7th place teams are super competitive, but they’re top 3 definitely look weaker than last year. PRX looking okay still of course, but not as solid as I feel like I hoped and same goes for DRX. T1 also looking like they’re basically right behind DRX now.
Yeah exactly Pancada is getting paid like an active player while chillin at home. Zellsis gets to play but is taking the lower salary of a sub. Zellsis has made it clear that he just wants to compete I don’t think dude is troubled in the money department.
So am I wrong in thinking that SEN isn’t acknowledging Zellsis as a starting player because of a pay thing because subs have like a much lower salary minimum than active players and Zellsis keeps saying he’s the sub even though he’s obviously not. I feel like this could basically be the product of an agreement for a spot on the team as long as he takes lower salary.
Bruh does he expect Ethan to just come up with an entirely new style of gameplay. Obviously they’re gonna implement EG’s style when the new IGL of the team just spent an entire year WHERE THEY WON CHAMPS on that team. If you know anything about NRG/ Chet’s style you can see it’s a combination. They come in with a super good game plan for conditioning and rely on good mid rounding if that plan doesn’t work out great which it usually does. Most of what NRG showed was just the teams game plan. Furia was hard pushed to make NRG adapt.
I wouldn’t say China is ahead of Apac just yet, but I wouldnt be surprised if they were ahead or neck and neck in competitiveness by the end of the year.
I back this with the addition of Flyuh and Brawk. All 4 of these players looked great in tier 2 last year.
I think the SEN guys said the same thing somewhere that m80 is their favorite scrim partner.
Might be truth to the statements, but c0m has huge zikz and boostio bias. TenZ also biased because I’m assuming SEN have their eyes mainly on the people in their own group who are looking strong.
when you change the wording from fraud to disappointment this is a whole different conversation. The thread says fraud list, just because Bleed as a team underperformed does not mean sscary as an individual is a fraud. If you want to say the team was a disappointment I would agree, but sscary and fraud do not belong in the same sentence. No overreacting.
sscary was not “stuck in tier 2” if anyone paid attention valorant about 2 years ago he was one of the best controller players from apac no doubt. He chose to play in tier 2 for the bag because it’s well known that Bleed is loaded with money. Just want it to be out there that he is a known quantity. Bleed did not look great as a team, but I don’t think it’s uncalled for to hope for some substantial improvement. They have a high ceiling, but need to work on a lot to get there.
Anyone who underrates sccary can simply take their opinion and keep it to themselves because you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
I think no one’s talking about it because it’s like a known thing he’s pretty nuts. Kinda like Oxy bro was so good last year that people sort of forget to even mention him just because it’s sorta normal for him to be nuts. Idk if that makes sense that’s just how I see it.
Chet said that the comps NRG is cooking up are unique so we could get interesting comps maybe only chamber and double initiator. Everyone’s talking about Gekko and NRG doesn’t have a proven sentinel player.
If you’re talking about VCL’s those aren’t run by riot they’re put under other smaller organizers so the production is always worse quality than the actual VCT League.
very excited for this, roster stacked with potential lowkey and MCE cooking.
I was very close one off each group.
bro you just based this off general seeding from the other regions this is just literally how a seeded group would look
number 2 and 3 are probably some of the best Americas hot takes i’ve seen well done
If they seed it properly it will go likes this for each region
1 - 11 - 8
2 - 10 - 7 - 5
3 - 9 - 6 - 4
For Americas this would mean:
EG G2 100T
LOUD MIBR SEN LEV
NRG FURIA C9 KRU
In the article it says the groups will be seeded based off of “2023 performance” and it specifies that the seeding is unclear but whoever wrote the article and made the graphic went with the assumption that 1st seed and 11th will go together, but they didn’t seed the other groups based on how they really should.
This is the definition of a good hot take. Can’t say I would agree personally but there’s definitely an argument to be had. So many people just write some random opinion that isn’t even a hot take on this site.
Nice try MxS clears. You will see.
Loud were like 24-2 on Ascent at some point and idk which teams were the teams that beat them, but I think one was like prime Optic and then another one that I forget.
it’s a fair argument honestly just a hard decision to make because that would open the door to many more people
There is a line. A given person must have a certain amount of familiarity with a role. It’s important to remember the famous of words of Bren. “You gonna get shot in the face, we gonna lose the round. It’s a gun game, it’s an fps.” “You get shot you die.”
i know what you’re trying to say but there’s definitely better ways of saying it than just mentally weak
It’s in reference to worldwide famed F1 they decided to try to follow up in the alphabet with G and then of course the 2 after the 1. G2.
Wait if anyone has seen My Hero Academia, the dude with the rocket legs could lowkey be a cool concept for a new dive duelist like Raze and Jett.
Also if you want to go down the mechanics route I don’t think there’s such a huge gap between Zellsis and Pancada. Obviously Zellsis is extremely under experienced on controller compared to Pancada, but it’s not like he’s playing horribly. I think he actually looks decent. It’s very early for him still, but nonetheless if this is the decision SEN has made I feel like surely it has to be the fact they favor the Chem and are hopeful in Zellsis to become a promising controller player.
As much as I want to side with Pancada because he definitely has been done dirty, I really do think in terms of chem zellsis just fits better. SEN has a lot of soft spoken players and just seeing them hangout lately with Zellsis they all look so much more comfortable and extroverted. Obviously we can’t see impact fully in game, but I just imagine Zellsis being a bigger impact during comms and high stress situations.
Yo during that time akrew weren’t like a random T2. They had just rolled like a bunch of T2 tourneys if I remember correctly and people were saying they were one of the best T2 teams at that time. I think they were just on a heater.
100% this one or the stax clutch from the same game
