As a viper main and a vct enjoyer, heres how I think Viper will be played out in the meta

Breeze: I think she'll still have a 100% pickrate here since Harbor doesnt really have anything over her.

Icebox: I think Harbor over Viper is an option now. There are walls on B and A that you can do that you cant do with Viper. Like the B wall that goes deep in ct, or the one that covers orange, ct window, heaven and snowman. There are also some retake walls on B that can be used instead of the Viper B orb. And wall lasts 3 seconds longer than viper's. Though I can see teams still play Viper just because of the mid orb. Maybe we will see more Viper+Harbor. If teams decide to run Harbor, solo then the way they play the map will completely change though

Bind: I think Viper is still good here. You can do the same default setup every round and be fine. The only downside is after you take A, you cant take the orb back to use for post

Sunset, Ascent: Viper wasnt as dominant on these maps so she will be irrelevant now

Lotus, Split: I think we will still see viper here and there but I think people will stop using Viper. Omen + Astra can also be used i think

Pearl: Viper + Harbor still has potential imo

Haven: Probably back to double init meta

Fracture: Similar to Lotus, Split. She will be a niche pick

it used to be 8 seconds years ago but they nerfed it because she had 2 mollies

now they removed a molly but they don't revert the first nerf they did (same shit as skye nerfs)

They put a box or pillar on sites and call it a day. Sites on half the maps are impossible to anchor and you often have to play retakes. Even though I dont enjoy playing cs anymore, the sites are designed a lot more fun (except for Vertigo fuck that map). Then they have shitty maps that attackers have dozens of options to lurk and it is impossible to defend every possible coridor

Bind - I actually like this map because it has its own niche in having to take some space before hitting the sites, and the sites are interesting enough that you have a lot of options as a defender to play around, especially on A
Split - ok this map is actually fun
Fracture - its a weird map but I like its niche of having to take space as defenders. But I understand that its not for everyone since people dont know how to play it in asc and below
Haven - Even though its a cool map, B and C sites could use improvements, especially the stupid huge generator in the middle of the site

Pearl - B long is a joke lmao, no words needed
Sunset - This map is pretty much a retake simulator. There's a stupid pillar in B site that is impossible to play around, and A site is so hard to defend when you lose either main or elbow control. And you dont get enough value as a defender when you take mid control
Lotus - There is literally not a single thing to play around on B site and you always will play retake, and C site is impossible to hold without KJ And Viper both mollying. A site is mid
Ascent - Definitely has interesting sites, and mid control provides a lot of opportunities for both sides, but the map overall is boring now because its always the same comp with double init, maybe with cypher instead of kj sometimes
Breeze - Dogshit map with stupid long range 50/50s. The only good change was the removal of halls but they reverted it lmao. Riot should accept that this map was L and never add it back to competitive play again (like what valve did with Cobblestone aka rush b simulator)
Icebox - Impossible to hold sites and you just play to delay and then retake (I personally like this map as a viper lurk enjoyer but the map is designed dogshit and hell to play without a KJ)

Sentinels have passive info util but they arent really necessary on most maps if you know what you are doing. Sure they can defend a site really well but there are other agents like viper, omen, astra, raze etc. (especially viper) that can delay for enough time on defense for your team to rotate

And on attack other than holding flank (which isnt necessary to begin with) they dont really have util to help your team take space like an extra initator, or viper would
