Also theres a difference between good ranked player and good tourney player. Even if they are very bad mechanically they can lead team with a direction which very few youngsters have.
No it's a dumb discussion. When a new game releases for a genre obviously not every pro will be new pros or 16 year olds . Some will be retirees from another game or people who have played another game and they will obviously dominate because of their experience. But after a few years only those x pros will stay at the top who grind equally hard and the rest will fall off. Then it will be newer/ younger pros who only grinded the new game.
And the same can be said for these pros from valorant who migrate to a new game if it releases .
