Okay, let's say that one of the Ascension teams turns out to be insane and dominates both the 2024/2025 seasons. What happens? If an ascension team is CLEARLY the best team in the world, and Champions winners, do they just get demoted back to Tier 2? Surely they would win Ascension again the next year, but then all the Tier 1 International Events of the next year don't show who the REAL best team is because the best teams are stuck back in Tier 2 for an entire year. Then, what happens to the OTHER Tier 2 teams that are trying to compete for Ascension when the best team gets dropped down and just starts smurfing Tier 2, making the entire scene pointless for other orgs? This is all hypothetical but this is something that could definitely happen. Like if FNATIC was an Ascension team and got dropped down after this year, HOW WOULD THAT WORK??

I honestly don't think it's fair to compare the regions. NA has so many more people and countries (including the countries in South NA) that it doesn't seem fair for EMEA or APAC. China definitely has a chance since their population is massive but I feel like this game is gonna be dominated by NA and China in the future. We could definitely see some more good EMEA teams like Fnatic and NAVI but at this point NA just has the advantage of being larger.

I feel bad for NRG. I wonder how good they would've done this tournament if they had an easier group. Now half the team is getting dropped and we'll never see the OG optic team again. i agree, i liked EG at the end of Americas League/start of tokyo but then Demon1 just got too cringe. once they win something i'll accept it but i don't think they've done enough to be talking allat shit rn though.

All 3 times they lost this season it was because Chronicle did absolutely horrendous. 0.79 rating against TL in EMEA final, 0.67 rating against LOUD the first time, and 0.54 rating against LOUD tonight. Only other time he didn't do great was against ZETA earlier in the tournament, but it didn't matter because Alfa hard carried. In the EMEA Upper Final, where they 2-0'd TL, Chronicle did great with a 1.17 rating. Then he got obliterated in the Grand Finals rematch where Liquid won.

Obviously losing series = not playing good but it seems like Chronicle getting stomped was the common denominator in every loss they had this season. (Also not saying it's Chronicle's fault I just noticed a correlation)

i agree. i think NRG should just wipe the roster and restart at this point, they're getting old and it shows. if anything i think they could make a pretty good tier 2 team though. curious to see how they would play against a team like V1 GC.

I've been thinking this for a while, but after that last match I think they seriously need to consider retiring. They were obviously great on OpTic when the game first came out, but they are getting old fast. They can't keep up with the changing meta and it seems like they can't even hit shots anymore. i think it's fine that EMEA is full of drug addicts, and I think they should be allowed to use their performance enhancing drugs for the rest of the tournament if they agree to go to rehab after champions. rito should pay for the EMEA rehab facility for next year, so that all regions are on a level playing field next champions. thoughts?

i wish we could see how the REAL EMEA played against NA, and how badly they would lose without drugs...

imo they didn't look insane at VCT Americas either. even though they went 8-1, they almost lost quite a few of those matches. obviously they did great but they definitely didn't stomp like fnatic did in EMEA.

After Sentinels failed yet again this year, I think we need some major improvements from this roster as they aren't winning anything with these players. I think they'll do a full rebuild from the ground up with these players. TenZ needs to go and the Brazilians are probably leaving anyways. Zekken said he's gonna go back to school and Marved wont want to play anymore.
