i mean they had one bad game then lost to optic (imagine telling anyone before copenhagen that the grand finalists would meet in a elim match right off the bat), i genuinely would call that just bad luck
fns got domain expansion while chet is too baked to properly fight back, i say fns
I feel like omen is almost like controller-duelist 'cause his kit is pretty aggressive
he literally left on his own, no one in NA is stupid enough to get rid of fns in this current igl draught
26-2 is crazy
c9 dropped yay meaning yay wasnt able to play val in tier 1, possible professionaly at all for an year. to avoid this, he signed with dsg (my beloved) to play in tier 2 which seemed great to me 'cause i loved dsg and yay but it went really fucking wrong 'cause dsg has so many fucking issues and the team performed horribly and lost every match with yay and had an 11 game lose streak and a lot of people lost faith in yay after that.
pancada played viper a decent amount, he was their secondary controller when they needed one
pancada, marved, s0m tuyz are all better for sure, maybe jake too. idk enough about SA/Latam to comment on their players. Bang is good don't get me wrong, but saying Bang is top 5 in the world is some delusional stuff.
demon1 just won champs dude, in no world are you gonna say he's worse than dgzin just 'cause eg lost to furia months ago.
I cannot take a PRX flair talking about running it down seriously, especially when they are calling someone that won Masters Tokyo without playing jett once a jett one trick.
bro forgot tokyo. was that a fluke too? leo has performed the ENTIRE YEAR, which is important to consider for player of the YEAR. Demon1 is good but a lot of his popularity atm is entirely recency bias lol.
ok let me specify, she farmed so many highlights AT CHAMPIONS. Against other world level GC players. The official vct channel's top plays had at least 3 of her clips in it. She was without a doubt one of the most eye catching and impressive player that event.
saying sonder wasnt a top 5 player in GC championship is crazy lmao. she farmed so many highlights.
Unstable and KatarinaFPS have been doing pretty well in the NA scene, and not having Sonder in the list despite her performance last GC Champions is kinda questionable.
optic would not have worked at all without victor. Victor played agents like neon and phoenix to just suicide run into site to make space for yay who can then hold down that space, but if victor isnt there then optic would have had a LOT of problems getting into site and just making their strats work in general. He's genuienly goated at making space. Victor was one of if not THE player to bring neon out to super high levels of play. Victor right now also covers a lot of roles. From duelist to initiator to sentinel he is like budget forsaken for nrg to allow a lot of others on their roles. hell he even played viper once. Zekken is great, but victor has slightly more flexibility with being able to play all the duelists bar reyna and yoru, kayo, skye (although that's more crashies' agent nowadays) and KJ.
Crashies im having a bit more of a hard time defending atm as this year he doesnt seem to be having as much impact as last year, but he's still a top NA possibly world lvl initiator and was very good at clutching in 2022. He can still clutch but doesnt seem to be as good at it as before. I think crashies also helps fns with some midround calls if im not mistaken so that's important too.
"Also, you literally played with the best igl itw, obviously marved is going to pick up things" by that logic crashies and vic and yay should all be able to igl. no one is saying he is the best, but only idiots say he's a downgrade in terms of igling comared to marved. I would 100% agree that ignoring the igl part is Marved a better player.
says the 100T fan who has lost to SEN like, EVERY time they faced off. Marved stepped up into the igl role yes, but he wasn't meant to be an igl. He did fine but unlike johnqt, he didnt have actual experience igling. Johnqt igled a team from t2 to almost t1, 2nd place. Arguing his acs is low is the worst take 'cause FNS is literally the best NA igl but his acs has always been low. IGLs' biggest contribution isnt fragging, it's the calling.
no one could have kept it up on dsg and i say that as a dsg fan
Have you heard of the word, improvement. It means getting better. Notice how 100T and T1 were their first and second international matches in 2023? They smoked T1 on rematch, and did fairly well against the other teams despite losing. Most of the matches they lost were pretty close too. Yes they have some issues adapting to things mid game (every fucking prx match comes to mind), but they still hit number 5-6 twice this year. They are def still a top team.
what i meant is that yes headhunter needs a lot of skill but kangkang isnt exactly using that rn, he's still more jett raze focus so we dont have nearly as much of a sample size of his headhunters as opposed to yay's (e.g. yay, Yay, YAY, YAYYYYYYYYYYY moment) which makes direct comparison harder than rifling and op.
kangkang has a bit better op-ing skills but yay's rifling is way better, headhunter is kinda busted so im personally ignoring that when comparing them
SEN has been shit bro, they had one good performance and literally never again. Your "OG" roster was long outdated and sucked
individually, no (viper is ok but getting nerfed so many times), together? god fucking awful (for the enemy team, so much fucking util and stall and they cant see shit, really good)
ardiis got grouped, derke got 4th (and 2 first place earlier this year), aspas got third, both are clearly better than ardiis
they hated him because he told the truth
im sry ethan plays: skye, kayo, breach, where's the flex? com is more of a flex
yeah when they went against each other kangkang had the advantage no? most memorable imo was a OT round where kangkang stepped into te angle cned was holding and still killed him 'cause cned should have had that, twice if you consider how cned whiffed on kangkang earlier that round
Praying for C9 win because I like them especially Yay, but realistically DRX probably wins
