It's what they were using last season (e: https://www.vlr.gg/70994/mandatory-vs-team-vitality-valorant-regional-league-france-revolution-week-3)
Every single team in the world can lose a map against anyone, if you want to have a league that has the best teams to come out on top, then you want to have their performances not reduced to a single map. Of course bo2 isn't ideal, but it allow them to not lose an entire week of preparation because they fucked up one single map. I don't know if you would call that bo2 or just two maps but the idea is the same

idk but bo1 has to be the dumbest system they could've used. Even bo2 would be better

They’re teammates. They will never play the same role so whats the point, but Id still say derke for experience and consistency

What signing who and who and droppinh who and who?

posted about 2 years ago

I think everyone acknowledges he's good but he's not really a flashy jett/chamber main so he doesn't get that much spotlight, but I bet that if you asked anyone their opinion on him they would say he's class

tenz to sen was kinda surprising too no? idk if journalists had any info since it was such short notice, maybe a couple of hours, I don't remember

this post will be funny if the mods ever take out your stars

you cant go around the mwzera deathmatch copy pasta

posted about 2 years ago

yeah I realized after commenting that it was based on the teams currently playing in the challengers of their respective region, but it still doesn't make a lot of sense to me to not include players like wardell or zander who could very possibly be part of their team

you're telling me you thought of more chilean players than canadian players

https://twitter.com/KRUesports/status/1526294713996922881 He worked with Onur throughout the entire 2021, leading them to their Champions run, and now he will join Onur at Leviatán. https://twitter.com/LeviatanGG/status/1526295472511623171. Will this be enough to make LEV the best team in South America? Who will replace him at KRU?

If we knew a lot less about you maybe we would like you

6 cis and 6 turkey seems like a stretch, tbh 24 teams to begin with seems like a stretch.

throwback to when tenz and leaf lost against seangares and mOE in an invitational (they were trolling but still)

it would only be unbalanced in the sense that leaf became a jett main because tenz left, if he had stayed, leaf right now would be an initiator or a sentinel. Most people forget that players don't come into this game with the roles decided from the get-go, like leaf wasn't even an opper in cs.

brush with just water for the meantime, buy toothpaste asap, try to not eat candies, sodas, highly processed foods, etc.

well they didn't make it to the first masters either. I'm not saying they're definitely not going, but stop acting like they're an unstoppable force that can do no wrong, it's perfectly understandable for people to not have them top3 with what they've shown so far

posted about 2 years ago

what do you mean by reset? The latest statement by riot I could find was this one saying 12 teams overall and 3 spots for emea https://valorantesports.com/news/masters-and-champions-location-reveal/

posted about 2 years ago

aren't there only three spots for emea

I know that, but t1 is still a prestigious org for koreans so I guess thats it. Tbh I don't completely buy what jack said about it being xeta's idea. I don't know what amount of money t1 would've had to offer for you to destabilize your whole roster who's about to play their qualifier for masters without the team being for it. It just doesn't make any sense. Why would T1 want to sign him right now when they have nothing to fight for? wouldn't it probably be cheaper to sign them after challengers or masters since c9's asking price would probably be lower since you're not destabilizing their team? Why would xeta want to go to T1 right now instead of just playing for c9 until you get eliminated? Why be so impacient? The only logical solution I see is that c9 wanted to a larger or lesser extent to replace xeta with curry. Vanity xeppa and leaf are close with him, c9 maybe wanted to change things up after their loss to the guard but it was only after t1 got eliminated about a week ago that they saw the replacement. This gave them a few days of scrimming with curry, but they might have wanted to play with xeta one last time since it was still too soon for curry. IDK, maybe I'm just creating a whole story in my head but it just doesnt make a lot of sense for Xeta to leave right now

posted about 2 years ago

t1 cant even reach challengers let alone masters

posted about 2 years ago

traditional sentinel kind of a dead role and "sova main" a bit of the same. Probably will just play what xeta has been playing

posted about 2 years ago

T1 MAKO -> smokes
T1 BAN -> jett / chamber
T1 XETA -> initiator
T1 STEEL -> second initiator / sentinel
T1 ? -> raze main or something idk

posted about 2 years ago

Because c9 wanted to replace them and probably it was either that or being benched, also t1’s reputation doesnt matter that much. They have money and close ties with riot, likely franchising spog

posted about 2 years ago

It was probably their choice, vanity leaf and xeppa are close with curry. I also doubt t1 would start rebuilding right now when they are out for the rest of the year

posted about 2 years ago

damn new peorge thread

posted about 2 years ago

yes

posted about 2 years ago

I think they might stick for what they have for now, but would love to see ban and skuba join steel and xeta. Also, why do you think v1 are gonna let their players go? (asides from zellsis, but it looks like he doesnt want to play matches rn at all) also bdog a bit random

your first possible roster has dynamic twice btw

posted about 2 years ago

not sure about knights, idk how much funding they have for riot to trust them, but ig the knights monthly's are something. I still think nrg guard xset luminosity and even faze to be favored

posted about 2 years ago

they're probably vouching on rito to give them a franchising spot since they've invested so much in the scene and have a tight relationship due to LoL, so it makes more sense to want to be part of the region with the higher viewership

posted about 2 years ago

I don't know how much vrl will be considered since they're probably looking not specifically for good teams but for big orgs with a lot of funding behind them as well, so maybe if you see a team like surreal from last season make it into challengers, they'd probably favor orgs like vitality, heretics anyways

posted about 2 years ago

I think Imperial team is giving a huge boost for br viewership, but also esports in general is still rising, sure valorant took a slice of the pie, but the pie itself got bigger too

posted about 2 years ago

1- only one team from kr goes to masters, so they still wouldnt qualify unless somehow they make a team better than drx
2- franchising is coming next year anyways and asia is going to be one region
