How so? Chronicle was definetely the best russian player throughout the whole year of 2023.
He is the player with the most trophies in the world.
You might be blinded by recency bias, his Champions Performance was below average but even in the 6 games that Fnatic played, Chronicle played well in 3 of them.
In the recent RedBull Tournament Chronicle was the second highest rated player on Fnatic, and played quite well both in the whole tournament and in the grand finals.

But EG already were paying 20k in the debut, while EG was the laughing stock of americas. Relying on earnings and bundle money is extremely unsustainable and risky, and if i were in EG management at the time of LOCK//IN & Americas League, i would DRASTICALLY decrease the income of the players. EG did not know beforehand that they would win champions, let alone qualify for it for the bundle money.

Idk about the bundle money but they made 1'250'000 earnings this year, split up to 6 its 200k for each player/coach approx
