lots of role issues, he and vanity were constantly switching smokes and initiator which ruined the team's cohesion and made it impossible for them to become comfortable on their roles. with what we've seen in 2023, c9 prolly would've done amazing if they kept vanity on smokes, moved mitch to initiator, and put curry on sentinel/viper. hindsight is 20/20 though, and it prolly made more sense on paper back then

c9 vs sen grands between mang0 and cody would go so harddd

Sentinels can only win if they lose their match against G2. If they don't lose they come in with too much hype and get 2-0'd by FS and FCY.

Hear me out, we're going full conspiracy mode today.

Governor is apparently going to Korea to become the 5th man for RRQ, leaving the previously reported 5th, Jemkin, with seemingly no tier 1 options. Keen eyed followers of the off-season know this isn't the case though.

According to the Flynn sheet, Jemkin trialed for Team Secret early-on but chose to try moving forward with RRQ instead. Because of this, we can assume TS decided to move forward with GianSanity as a second option.

Now here's the kicker, Gian recently announced that he'll apparently be streaming everyday, which would just be an impossible schedule for someone on a franchised team. He also posted that super unprofessional video where he leaked PRX and TS scrim comps, something that would just be really stupid if he truly was on TS (leaking his own team's comps.)

All of this makes me believe that Gian wasn't picked for franchising and he's posting his scrim clips because they're of no worth to him and are better off as just content. Is it also just coincidence that this happened all around the same time that RRQ seemingly chose not to go forward with Jemkin, the only non-Filipino player TS trialed in the past? It's too many coincidences for me, surely TS Jemkin will save the nepotism org.

tl;dr - jemkin to TS, too many coincidences.

what do yall think are the teams that have gotten the unluckiest brackets/groups?

for example, i personally think guild at copenhagen was the most unlucky. they started in a group with kru, loud (runner up of the previous masters), and had a first round match up with optic (winners of the previous masters.) they beat optic then took down kru (who upset loud) to get out of groups, only to then lose to both grand finalists, prx and fpx, and go out at 7th.

take a look at your whole posting history, all you do is spread negativity on this website and trash on the pacific region then when someone calls you out immediately start using the memory of a player who passed away as defense. should be fucking ashamed of yourself. i donated to local mental health charities, what have you done aside from wear his flag and team logo as defense while spewing garbage? disgusting pig.

posted about a year ago

yes because twisten would want his memory to be preserved by vlr frogs disparaging whole regions. embarassing defense

this type mentality is why regions end up recycling the same fucking talent for a decade and trapping themselves in a skill plateau, because people like you dont understand what its like to take risks on unproven talent and when to take them. i will be gladly awaiting this roster's debut while the teams you like slowly kill themselves with washed igls and players clinging onto their "glory days."

wouldn't say it's 100% confirmation, it could also be that he wasn't supposed to mention the trialing with TS part and they told him to take it down

he just tweeted an LFT post (https://twitter.com/giansanityfps/status/1699703205125382172?s=19) and mentions being a possible pick for team secret. confirms that flynn sheet was right and he is in contention for a slot on the team

IMO, the placement is justified because the general expectations were that Liquid was one of the favourites to get out of Group D and yet failed to make it out. That's not even beginning to discuss the lack of solid strategies or game plans found in their gameplay this tournament.

Currently, 3/4 of the teams (FNATIC, PRX, LOUD) in the Top 4 of Champions have a map (Pearl, Haven, Fracture, respectively) that they've permabanned the whole tournament. If we don't count EG's game against FPX, the number of teams with a permaban goes to 4/4.

It's a similar story in Tokyo's Top 4, where FNATIC and PRX had the same permabans while EG permabanned Bind. Again, that number goes back to all of Top 4 if we ignore NRG's upper bracket game, as they ended up removing Fracture from the veto for the rest of the event.

This brings up an interesting question, is it even worth it for VCT teams to practice every map when the Top 4 of the previous two global events have consistently relied on permabans? Would love to know everyone's thoughts on this, just a random thought I had going through the data.

He was a pretty decent IGL on Liquid when he was still playing CS. Got them some decent results. I'm pretty sure the only time he proper IGL'd in VALORANT was NA LCQ 2021, where 100T placed 3rd.

He mostly played Controller on 100T but super flexible in terms of roles since he switched to Duelist/Sentinel at the end of his career there.
