i think Americas is just good at min/maxing comps. They have gameplans and their comps are always built around that specific gameplan. EU sometimes let personal biases and agent pools get in the way of the optimal comp for their gameplan. EG literally put demon1 on brimstone cuz they needed to play that specific comp for the best execution of their playstyle. Its more of a difference in how coaches are approaching the game regionally.

EG grinded out a playbook. I think their variance and depth of strategy on pistol rounds and bonuses make them insane, but their midrounding is also insane which allows them to become a team that you can be prepared for and still lose to.
I think someone is also dedicated anti, as in someone has memorized setups from other teams, since I have heard potter talking about how they know the setups and they know what to do off of it (and because they have 2 igls and one secondary caller, which I imagine one of them is always recalling other team’s playbooks.)
Players are all confidence which allows them to come out on top on the few scrappy rounds.

Yes I agree, their pistols/ult executes on haven look much worse than those on their 3 great maps. What bailed them out this map was good midrounding and defaulting imo.
C9’s run was in a pressure free groupstage. EG started performing in qualification games, c9 play bad under pressure, eg play well under pressure. They are NOT the same.
Keep doubting 🙏, a cinderella run is filled with close games close maps and hero performances. Eg just playing their game🤷♀️
I think in general their haven playbook is a bit newer and not as deep as their ascent, fracture, split or pearl.
I mean their duelist wasnt performing and it was a map they dont like to play and it was still +4.
People were saying fnc dominated on fracture with the same scoreline.

I’d rather ban lotus against fnc since EG is not that good on lotus. + lotus doesnt fit EG playstyle that much.

EG has never had a permaban and I can’t get the thought out of my head that boostio said they wanted to ban bind and didnt want to say why. Theoretically, since bind is such an execute heavy map, I would have thought EG were going to be good on it like fracture (the most exec heavy map).
My theory is, with how potter sounded about confidence to get to playoffs, they are saving bind for an important map, like a lower bracket match or maybe winners finals. Its so uncharacteristic to perma a map from EG. Even when they lost pearl 13-0 they literally played it next match, so idk it might just be hopium but it would be cool.
