Last year it seemed like they were just too far ahead individually. No one could compete with their player skill level.
This year people caught up. You need optimal synergy, strats, comps, everything.

I fully understand. You could end up in a sayf liquid scenario which is terrible.
But they did that due to differing visions of the game and arguments. Not due to role issues. Plus sayf was so much better than every other player there they should have kicked everyone else and rebuilt around him.
With fnc its not the same. You gonna kick alfajer? I mean you can but that hurts a lot too. And do you have a replacement of that quality available that would fit and make the roster work as well as the current version? Idk man.
You kicking chronicle your highest rated and most exoerienced player to make alfa a full flex? Can alfa really play every role well? Can he be a second smoker? Idk there either.

But FNC looks amazing with Hiro and in my opinion its all about roles.
Alfajer doesnt have to play senti anymore which he isnt perfectly suited for. So often he overagresses and gets killed which messes up their setups badly when the role is all about patience and rattyness. Nats for example is worse mechanically but a much better sentinel. He has it in his blood. Both the lurks and being super hard to kill on site and getting good trap kills etc.
So what is fnc doing rn that works so well for FNC. Well, hiro is playing senti most of the time allowing alfa to play iso, maybe raze if derke plays an yoru or the like. Also flash initiators like breach and kayo fit alfa much better than senti. His agression and restlessness doesnt cost you here. Its probably even an advantage.
So my opinion is Leo and Alfajer maybe shouldnt play in the same team longterm. At least in the current meta.
