i agree C9 has a lot of great personality within both the white and blue teams :)
not a team lol and dasnerth is pretty weird
oh alright then it will definitely be interesting then!
but last year didnt masters 2 work where the winner autoqualed to champions so they get taken off the circuit points so if Optic wins it all then wouldnt the 2 and 3 seeds qualify along with the LCQ winner?
theoretically if Optic wins masters and champions works the same way as last year where the winner of Masters 2 goes straight to champions, wouldn't Guard make it 100 percent through circuit points? that would be super cool if that happened
fair enough. since 100t is out im cheering for FaZe, NRG, and XSET because I want to see a new team on LAN aside from optic
same even though 100t lost Im still so hyped for LCQ and I know this team can do so much more
w babybay is so fun to watch... when he isnt against your favorite team lol
My favorite team is 100T because I have always sort of liked how they run their org in other esports, I like the logo, and they were one of the first VALORANT pro teams I watched and I kind of fell in love with them
aye these not looking too bad thus far
the loser plays NRG and I think that it will be a close match between whoever loses since NRG has gone away from trying to be super innovative and I think they have a better shot at beating both of these teams than they had in the groups
i really hope we see something like that I feel like our comps are a little stale/outdated, something to spice it up would for sure make things interesting, kinda like what TSM did to us with that Neon picks a couple weeks ago
no because some teams dont have good chemistry
agreed
you also cant just say they can plug in better players because this team has a lot of chemistry that is a big contributor to their success, putting in better players while messing up the team chemistry is not always the move
I think they are still the top GC team as is
well forget about TS lol XERXIA def making it
Yeah I definitely think they have a really solid chance at making Copenhagen I just think that their side of the bracket is tougher and do not think they will quite be able to make it through but like I said I wouldnt be surprised if they make it
they have a chance but seeing their recent play im not really sure
Who do you guys think will qualify for Masters? In my opinion these will be the teams:
NA:
1 Seed - OpTic Gaming - have looked beatable at times, but still seem to be the most consistently good team in a region of chaos which leads me to believe that it is likely they win the region or at the minimum qualify for the tourney.
2 Seed- XSET - this could really go to anybody in the region, but I give the edge to XSET because they only need to win 2 matches to qualify for Copenhagen, they have looked pretty good throughout the group stage, only suffering a loss to 100T, but I think they have the firepower and leadership to make it to Masters.
Other Teams Who Could Qual: EG - looked very solid and also beat OpTic, 100T - a path of all teams they are familiar with or have beat before, Ghost Gaming - hard really on NisMO so that could be a problem but if hes hitting its over, FaZe- firepower of Dicey and Babybay and IGLing of Poised.
EU
1 Seed- FNATIC - they have looked extremely good and when you have two of the best players in the world of Alfajer and Derke it is going to be hard to beat, especially when on top of that you have a top 5 IGL in the world in Boaster and an extremely good coach in Mimi, considering they only have to win one match to qualify it seems likely they will make it to Copenhagen.
2 Seed - ACEND - cNed has been a bit cold of late, but the rest of the team has been picking up the slack for the most part and they have looked solid throughout the group stage and I think that they have an easier path to Masters as I think Guild is the weaker of the one seeds and the benefits of the EU bracket is teams only have to win 2 games no matter where they reside in the brackets, so I think the experience of ACEND shows and they qualify for masters.
3 Seed- Guild - they have a 1 seed meaning a much easier path and they only have to win 1 match to make it. They have a strong team and had a strong record throughout the group stage and I think that they will be able to win at least one match and qualify for masters despite some other teams being more recognizable and notable, they have been consistently good and I think that consistency will show during Playoffs.
Other Teams Who Could Qual: Team Liquid: lots of experience, firepower, and want to win, however, lack of an IGL has made their plays look frantic and desperate at times, FPX- qualed as the one seed for last masters, but have not looked as good through this challengers, but do not be surprised if they qualify.
Brazil:
1 Seed: Loud- have looked dominant throughout the Brazil challengers and have not skipped a beat since Iceland, only competition in the region seems to be NIP, but they have beat them before and Loud is back with a vengeance after their Masters Finals loss to OpTic, so I see no doubt in the them qualifying.
Other Team Who Could Qual: NiP - only other team in Brazil with a chance and also may get a chance in the LCQ.
LATAM:
1 Seed: KRU Esports: they have had a trend in these matches of starting very slow often losing 5 or 6 rounds before eventually demolishing the other team. This trend could be dangerous come playoffs, but their experience, firepower, and revamped team comps makes it likely they get through LATAM and qualify for their 5th straight LAN event.
2 Seed: FUSION: I see Fusion coming up on top during the LCQ vs Ninjas in Pyjamas because they have looked dominant throughout the LATAM-S qualifiers and although this region is tended to be seen as "weaker" I think their potential will come out both during Playoffs as well as the LCQ vs Ninjas in Pyjamas as even last LCQ LEVIATAN gave NIP a run for their money and the match was truly extremely close, giving me hope for an upset and FUSION taking home a spot to Copenhagen.
Other Team Who Could Qual: LEVIATAN: consistently having close matches with KRU and could even beat them to qual, solid team with good communication and a strong roster.
Japan-
1 Seed: ZETA Division - last masters bronze medalists return their full team and have revamped many of their different compositions as they have started to run Neon on some maps, they have been stomping through the qualifiers thus far, only dropping one map and currently are 2 matches away from qualifying and I do not see any other team even contesting them for this spot.
APAC-
1 Seed: PRX - A team with possibly the best fragging duo in the world of Jinggg and F0rsaken, this team has consistently made many of the LAN events already in VALORANT and I think they do it again here. They have looked virtually unstoppable throughout Challengers thus far, only dropping 1 match, and their weird yet innovative comps prove time and time again to be good, I think they have a great chance to not only qualify through APAC but get the 1 seed as well.
2 Seed: Team Secret - After a disappointing Challengers 1 that saw the team not even qualify for playoffs, Team Secret is back with a vengeance. The team had added youngster Jremy as a six man and have been switching him and Witz out between maps, a change that not many teams do, but it has proven to have worked so far. This team only dropped 1 match in the group stage and I think that they have enough firepower to regain some of their previous dominance over APAC and qualify for Copenhagen.
Other Teams Who Could Qual: XERXIA: they have only missed 1 LAN thus far in VALORANT and have a really strong team which stacks up great against other top teams in the world, but I think they fall short here, but still qualify for Champions. BLEED Esports: this team was just a couple of rounds from making Reykjavik as they lost 12-14 to XERXIA in a decider match and I think that despite them not looking that dominant throughout challengers that this team can make a run once again as Deryeon is a super talented player and Lexi and Pyth have good leadership.
KR -
1 Seed- DRX - a team who has only missed 1 international LAN this team has dominated the Korea scene throughout the entirety of its existence and I do not think anything changes, seeing as they have only gotten better and more innovative this team is one of the best in the world and their balanced team play WILL lead them to Copenhagen.
Other Team Who Could Qual: ONS - they beat DRX one time last challengers so its a possibility, but I still think there is no shot unless Bazzi goes absolutely crazy
Side Note: These are just my predictions if u guys have your own leave them down below, I am not an expert on each and every region but I tried to do my best in making educated predictions.
he has been so flexible with his roles, he seems like an absoloutely dedicated player
LMAO THEY ACTUALLY GOT MOCKING
alfa and victor a lot closer than u think
i honestly have no clue but i saw that too and i was so fucking confused
FAX i want the rivalry back
agreed and I think a lot of upsets could be on the horizon this weekend
TGRD- looked a little bit rusty coming off of masters, but a bounce back is well in their reach and dont be surprised if they end up near the top of this group
100T-
As my favorite team I was impressed with their performance against the Guard and I'm intrigued to see how they fare against the rest of the competition.
Ghost-
they were very impressive and I think Nismo is one of the top flexes in NA, I think they can definitely give all of the teams in their group a run for their money after their impressive performance against XSET.
XSET-
looked decent, but I think moving Cryo off Jett is not going to be great for his performance as I think he excels on the Jett role but we will have to see how it goes, I really was impressed with BCJ and his performance.
TSM-
I liked how they fared against NRG as I think they actually had a lot of chances to win this match had some things gone their way, I think it will be a great matchup between TSM and 100T this weekend.
NRG-
have not dropped a map since Ethan's arrival and looked like a top 5 team in NA, very interested to see how they fare against 100T and TGRD.
damn if thats true i gotta start being alot more careful lol
acutally facts I always see funny ass clips of him from his streams and whenver I tune in its always a good experience
ig it was from opens on nerd street cause my last message on Shahz's chat was saying hi to Yay since he was in chat
no I'm just warning people to be careful cause shahz's mods are ops
Guys so I tuned into Shahzam's stream to watch for a bit and I see that I am banned from chat and the reason is not that I was trash talking Shahzam in his chat, but in a VCT stream not even on his channel KEKW, so be careful and don't diss Shahzam anywhere you go because u will be banned from his chat. Just thought this was interesting and worth mentioning
i do agree the synergy is thrown off a bit, but you also have to consider the fact that Vanity, Leaf, Xeppa, and Curry are all close friends, so it wont be that off from where it was before
it makes sense as the meta moves further away from sova, curry will slot right into the initiator role which is most of what he played on T1
They also got rid of aleko who was really bad, that might also be a factor as well
the 100t management is wack and they have had 3 roster rebuilds in like the span of 2 months
prx 2-1
they play so aggro and its so fun to watch lmao I truly think they can beat anyone
yay best oper marved top 3 smokes and victor best flex
yeah after seeing northeption in LCQ and how close they were to qualing you could tell their players were special and this just continues to show it
