the problem isn't 5 stacking. The problem is 4 people on iron smurfs. In reality, if those playing 5 stacked on their main, it would be 4 radiants and a silver, and they would be put in radiant/immo lobbies.
if a real radiant 5 stacked with real irons, yes they would be put in a 5 stack gold/plat lobby, but they would also have 4 iron teammates. The average rank is always the same for 5 stacks.

In ranked people would ban the annoying/broken agents. It's how it is in Marvel Rivals and it's awesome. Remember when Iso was gamebreakingly broken for like a week? he would have gotten banned every game and it wouldn't have been as awful. Same with Chamber, same with Viper. Pro's practice team comps, and changing 1 variable in a team comp will completely ruin any utility combos, or site executes that they practiced. Banning Reyna in Ranked and the guy just swapping to Iso isn't going to ruin weeks of practice.
unfortunately agent bans would ruin competitive. In ranked I think it's fine. But when pros spend weeks practicing a team comp you can't just ruin that.
