not having JDG for China is insane

posted 6 months ago

did he just fall off after 2021? his performance in 2022-2023 was pretty mediocre

posted 6 months ago

Genuine question

When did his prime start and when did it end?

He was dominant in 2021 but I think by 2022 he was just average?

posted 6 months ago

are you high on drugs rn or what

why are you trying to tell me that Riot isn't richer than ESL

i know who funds ESL lmao

posted 6 months ago

so?

Riot has infinitely more money and bigger resource base than ESL, is it harder to host a better tournament just because it's Valorant?

posted 6 months ago

LOCK/IN being too expensive is a myth.

Every six months ESL holds ESL Pro League - a CS tournament, for 32 teams all across the world. With the lower bracket, proper group stage and A BIGGER PRIZEPOOL than LOCK/IN -
850k for EPL, 500k for LOCK/IN

a third party tournament operator can easily twice per year host a way better tournament with a much better level of production and a bigger prizepool, while having significantly less resources and money than Riot

so what's the excuse?

posted 6 months ago

Berlin was marginally better than Reykjavik
if LOCK/IN is Mickey, so is Reykjavik

posted 6 months ago

Legendary French CS player, Major winner

posted 6 months ago

you can't even read, you're slow as fuck for real

Reykjavik 21 was a team deathmatch radiant lobby, the Mickiest event ever

still counts as a masters win, just the least valuable ever

posted 6 months ago

TenZ's peak lasted two events, I think?

posted 6 months ago

either respect to KioShiMa or a shoutout to an island in Japan

posted 6 months ago

is it impossible to fit LOCK/IN type of tournament in the current schedule which has 6 month off-season, without removing Kick/Off?

posted 6 months ago

you're calling an official VCT Tournament "Mickey" when it had a 100 times higher level of play and competition than Reykjavik

meanwhile Reykjavik 21 had the worst ever level of play in history of the game and its not "Mickey" because there was a Qualifier

TenZ farmed plumbers when the game was raw, and the 80% of opposing teams were underdeveloped

conclusion - you might be retarded. don't bother replying.

posted 6 months ago

nah just make LOCK/IN a permanent tournament with a lower bracket and Swiss stage

posted 6 months ago

Berlin was better than Reykjavik in the level of play
not by much tho

posted 6 months ago

4-0 annihilation=fluke.

posted 6 months ago

Lock/In is Mickey but Reykjavik 21 isn't?

posted 6 months ago

The schedule is too packed. if Riot adds 12 more matches, players would probably die of overexhaustion

posted 6 months ago

T1 were lucky to be seeded?
They were 6-3 and took DRX to 5 maps

DRX 8-1
PRX 7-2
T1 6-3
Zeta 5-4
TS 5-4
GEN.G 4-5

those teams made the playoffs, T1 beaten GEN.G twice, won against Zeta, lost 10-13 10-13 to PRX and went to 5 games against DRX

how were they lucky? T1 were the 3rd best team in Pacific

posted 6 months ago

agreed

posted 6 months ago

i did mention TenZ so..

posted 6 months ago

Chronicle was way more consistent tho. 2022-2023 TenZ was not that good

posted 6 months ago

real

posted 6 months ago

2022 Chronicle and the whole tail end of Gambit/M3C is criminally underrated.
Gambit were still great, they were super unlucky at the time, them losing to 0.02 defuse was so crazy
