LMAOOO caught me so off guard

posted 4 months ago

I mean it's been looking that way lol. I expected 100T to be top 4, but G2 actually surprised me this event. I don't hate them but I was underrating them fs

I may side with your first statement but for the WRONG reasons. I obviously don't know how the team reacts when he is actually upset so this is speculation, but I honestly don't think it bothers them because they more or less understand that they way they play is "wrong". IN FACT, I think they lowkey enjoy making him mad which may subconsciously boost their urge to throw bc they know Alecks will get mad and it'll be funny to laugh about later lmao.

While I understand the thought process, I think it boils down to just the PRX identity. And I don't think that's something that Alecks can just forcibly change, because the players have stated multiple times that they love to play the way that they do, and they don't see a point in playing valorant if they're not enjoying it. You can argue that Alecks enables it, but I think he just understands that he can't "force" them to play a style they genuinely don't want to play.

If that does happen, it would be insane. If it happens to be 3 different teams as well Sen - Madrid, 100T or G2 - Shanghai, NA team - Seoul, it would actually highlight the strength of the region as a whole rather than just one dominant team in a region. I also was somewhat hoping for PRX win though.

I love him but his plays give me anxiety bro 😭

I went to champs when it was in Los Angeles and I loved every second of it, crowd was insane, wasn't packed all the time but the PRX v EG upper bracket final match was so fun to be there live. And then I went again for grand final, and it was packed, everyone was chanting I had a good time. I also did show up to a regular season game this year, it was the SEN v NRG game in Kickoff, so naturally with it being high stakes and a hyped matchup the crowd was active, but I do think for other teams that aren't maybe Sen and 100T the atmosphere can feel a bit more empty. overall, I haven't had a bad experience, but I do try and buy tickets based on what I think a good match would be rather than to just go to one.

no one is finding these matches boring the last few have been fun to watch

I personally think this masters will be really good. Similar to Madrid I could not 100% claim a team as the best one there that should win (PRX closest but even then I cant say for sure), its the same story here. A lot of teams are playing well, ones that people weren't expecting to, and its a lot of new faces + new matchups. I am excited but thats me ig.

our reputation is already in the ground too 😭😔

PRX, if not, then 100T if they make it through playoffs

fns on raze clears both

c9 fs, they somehow choked last year not going to any international despite a near perfect record, and MIGHT do the same this year, depending on their split 2. For some reason C9 is cursed to play like the best until its super important

100t will carry the NA dreams

I agree that boaster deserves to be tier 1 still, but idk I feel that Fnatic can only go so far with boaster having these types of performances. I understand his role isn't to frag so I am not expecting top frag or anything, but 6/22 is horrendous. There will always be moments in which Boaster's calling aren't perfect/correct, Valorant is an unpredictable game, and you can't always just call yourself to victory. The deeper the tournament run, the more these poor performances start to matter.

That's wholesome asf

bro where is this coming from, you are in every thread wtf 😂

posted 6 months ago

I get ur frustrations, but form is a real thing. Yes SEN wasn't playing well, but it is also accompanied by some teams/players genuinely playing to their potential when they originally weren't earlier the split. No excuses, it happens lol she just pointing it out obvi its the team she's supporting. And then for the point about "relying on their own performance" you can't necessarily say that bc this happened to EG last year which sent them to Masters Tokyo. And idk if you remember but the format last year meant qual for tokyo also meant automatic qual for champs, they could have ended up relying on LCQ and who knows EG might never win Champs. Nobody is calling them a fluke or saying they didn't "rely on your own performance"

tbf he wasn't saying that to talk trash, he was asked to rank the duelists, and then just asked who would be at the bottom. He only chose oxy bc he is a rookie and at that point there was no proof he would be farming like he is now

As a sen fan, I've gotta say sen. But I do think that people who specifically make it their goal to hate on sen are equally as annoying, it does suck as a normal fan actually trying to watch the games bc its comments glazing sen, followed by comments being overly critical of sen. I just want normal comments lol

posted 6 months ago

I agree that sen is playing mid rn, but there is no way you have nrg above them lol. Even as an nrg fan you can't be satisfied with how they're playing

posted 6 months ago

speaking of scheduling, what's up with APAC going so quickly, they started after EMEA, and EMEA haven't even started their playoff matches yet

posted 6 months ago

I mean in theory those moves are insane offseason moves, but things don't always play out how people expect.

posted 6 months ago

there is no might, I love Tenz but Aspas consistently being on top brings him to another level, he is the goat

posted 6 months ago

wait this is funny lol W thread

posted 6 months ago

I know some people are celebrating because ppl were hyping NRG like crazy, but I mean when looking at paper how could an NRG fan not hype this team. Me being a Sen fan ofc wanted Sen to have a more successful year but missing out on 2 internationals i actually feel bad for the fans. You deserved at least a few weeks of being annoying like us sen fans but you guys haven't had any ups at all during the year. I hope yall fix whatever the issues are, heads up kings/queens lol

posted 6 months ago

yeah i think they were closer to signing n4rrate than john, john just trialed but he most likely was getting that offer from sen

posted 6 months ago

I mean it should never have been a debate, Ethan is incredible, but igling is just one of those things that actually takes time to improve, and a punishing format like this means they don't get a lot of time

posted 6 months ago

I love Tenz but forsaken has to be the indisputable flex goat

posted 6 months ago

I think it will be good as it will give them time to switch things up, but again no team just wants to not make an international. I also feel like that real matches give needed experience that practice can't make up. For example, comparing SEN to beginning of kickoff to their Madrid form is drastic, because they were able to see how things played out in actual matches and fix mistakes they may not have been aware of just in practice. It is good for them to find a new identity, but there is also a chance things won't translate, but with the way they are playing now I say they have no other choice.

posted 6 months ago

it was great while it lasted....hope the Americas representatives do well in shanghai

posted 6 months ago

They have a chance to go to champs based on how they perform in Split 2, but it will be unlikely they make it off of champion points if they are able to qualify regularly during Split 2 playoffs.

posted 6 months ago

I still have faith in NRG

posted 6 months ago

I now have to pray sen win or else you'll have even more fuel to keep pushing this narrative lol

posted 7 months ago

I'm actually shocked at NRG being 5, I truly do believe they can end the split at top 3. Do keep in mind they played a close series against SEN (ignoring split), coming off an unprepared off season vs SEN who tried to finalize a roster super early. I do agree with your take on raze maps, but I don't think that is too big of a concern I think they are somewhat transitioning Demon1 to a flex position, and Ethan's igling will only get better with time.

Drew is scottish and he likes to represent his culture by wearing a kilt, I think its cool to do that

posted 7 months ago

If I remember correctly, every masters/champs has only had the lower final and grand finals be BO5

Ex: champs last year PRX beat EG in upper final 2-1, EG made it back to grand final and won 3-1

don't do mine i just wanna come back to this another time lol

Didn't watch APAC games, but Karon is becoming one of my fav players now he's insane

posted 8 months ago

Some people are claiming the reason for it because of "ego" but I honestly think that its just valorant fans unfortunately, they will hate on everyone. Anyone has a bad game, they're called frauds, and all of a sudden don't deserve to be on a team. And I guess every fan knows how to build a roster because they start suggesting how to fix the team too lol. But I see tons of players get hate for bad games such as Aspas, Tenz, even Zekken, etc. So the reason can't be "ego" because none of the players I listed have an "ego" or claim to be the best. I do think there is more fuel against Demon1 because now people can say "he's supposed to be the best?" but its really just toxic valorant fans hating on anyone whenever there is a chance.
