Just an open tournament that my team should be playing in soon
Not real probably, most teams usually don't reveal how much they pay for players directly like that
JiJieHao (formerly Bonkers) has reportedly acquired IKANA during their current Challengers Oceania run. He is replacing punda who seems like will be moving away from the main active roster although still playing in LPL Pathfinder Season 3.
Earlier this year, JiJieHao bought out the entire free agent roster, Bonkers, after their memorable 2023 Pacific Ascension run ahead of the next challenger season. In 2024 they would prove this roster is still strong by winning Challengers Oceania Stage 1. Unfortunately they would fall just short of ascensions after losing to Arena Internet Cafe and FOCUSGG. Following missing out on ascension they would make a few roster roster changes ahead of stage 3. They currently have a record of 3-1 in stage 3 and are on track to qualify for playoffs.
IKANA is fresh out of Justice for Tomorrow following the team disbanding after a respectable run at 2024 Pacific Ascensions. He has been a top performer in Oceania consistently putting out decent performances for his role as initiator while as a team they would be fairly dominant winning Challengers Stage 2 to go to ascensions and winning LPL Pathfinder Season 2. He joins JiJieHao with their Bonkers core and look to use the ascensions experiences to win in Oceania.
JiJieHao is now:
IKANA - Initiator
Minimise - Flex Initiator (Captain)
Dragon - Sentinel
LEW - Duelist
Tixx - Controller
Punda - Initiator (Unknown)
They are cool and all but I don't really resonate with them that much and they are not a team that looks extraordinary appealing to me. I have neutral opinions on them
Thanks man 😃 and also Talon had been considered
Hes not the worst and there are still other reasons to like Heretics
When I first got into val esports they were a team I watched a lot and they astonished me I just really like them just maybe not on an international level but if they were still as good as before and were willing to change then maybe but I understand why they don't want to change
Earlier I posted about my search for a new team that I can support in tier 1 (New Favourite Tier 1 Team) and after careful consideration here are the results:
*Look at the original post I linked for requirements and what I look at so I won't explain my decisions. If you guys have any questions comment below
International:
1-Heretics
2-Karmine Corp
3-100T
4-5...6...cont
AMER
1-100T
T-2-NRG
T-2-EG
4-Kru
EMEA
1-Heretics
2-Karmine Corp
T-3-Gentlemates
T-3-FUT
T-5-NAVI (If rumours are true)
T-5-KOI
APAC
1-Paper Rex
2-RRQ
T-3-Team Secret
T-3-Talon
T-5-ZETA
T-5-DFM
CN
T-1-EDG
T-1-XLG
T-3-BLG
T-3-DRG
If a team is not listed here then that means I have neutral opinions or I dislike them. All teams mentioned here I like. If you have any questions about my decisions or want to contest it comment below, I am still open to discussion and it may change but it is basically done unless there is drastic roster moves or something I expect didn't happen (Like Koalanoob to NAVI).
I do agree this is not acceptable but lets not go nuts over 1 map idk that's my opinion
its not that deep it's just an off season tournament they could be having a bad day or sum and its still 2nd map maybe weak map
Oh yeah definitely I think this is a good time for him to develop that experience so we might see him in the future in tier 1
yeah could be, language tends to be a problem in APAC due to no somewhat standard language like at least in EMEA a lot of people speak english and they can somewhat comm while APAC it is not as apparent and their english fluency is a lot lower compared to EMEA. Although Yuran wasn't that good at Zeta that doesn't mean he is a bad player and he could probably use his new tier 1 skills at Sengoku and help them out
Sengoku Gaming have announced that they have picked up Yuran, this comes following Impact's departure the day prior.
Sengoku have been testing out different roster combinations and new players recently at off-season tournaments such as Red Bull Home Ground and Predator League Japan following a respectable third place finish at Challengers Japan after losing at the hands of ZETA's Fennel and the eventual champions Riddle Order. Impact was signed to replace Jinboong but that lasted temporarily as they would later announce his contract expiry suggesting he was there just for the off season.
Yuran was previously on ZETA Division for one season and another couple of months on their academy team before that. His time at ZETA would be particularly uneventful as they would finish 8th in the standings with 3 wins, their most eventful win being against Talon Esports. He most recently played a flash initiator role at ZETA occasionally flexing onto other roles although during his earlier days at ZETA he played Viper only. Yuran is replacing Impact who played sentinel at Sengoku which Yuran doesn't have much professional experience with so it is unsure at this time what role he will be filling.
Sengoku Gaming is now:
Gwangboong - Duelist
Kippei - Controller
NOBITA - Recon Initiator
Misaya - Flash Initiator
Yuran - Unknown (Probably Sentinel)
meltdown - Head Coach
Relife - Coach
*Authors Note - I can't read Japanese so I am unsure what the posters say and I am going off the translated description. I am also not the most educated on Challengers Japan so if you think I should add or remove anything comment below
Sayonara is subbing for off season, Leo will be back regular season
Im not him only once I am him I will do it
Fnatic have signed star duelist Kaajak who previously led the emea ascension winner team, Apeks, to franchising. This announcement comes after Fnatic's long time duelist, Derke, left the team recently and joined Vitality.
Fnatic is now:
Kaajak - Duelist
Alfajer - Sentinel
Boaster - Controller
Leo - Initiator (Inactive)
Sayonara - Initiator (Stand-in)
Chronicle - Flex
I guess its looking more feminine but honestly don't listen to them just be yourself
In what context? Like ranked? because I have already talked about pro play wise many times
Updated Best Pearl Comps in Pro Play (Scroll down to my reply)
My First Post on Pearl Comps in Pro Play
It's a very expensive place and the infrastructure is under a lot of pressure and is starting to fail regardless its still fine and yes very asian friendly especially if you are not Indian. There are some pretty cool places to see so yeah
20% chance she can trip on a rock while running
I think of it like this if you don't wake up you will be in the middle you won't experience pain nor will you experience happiness but living is a gamble except if your in a first world country you have pretty high odds of living a happy life. But the thing is it's ok if everyday you wake up and you don't live the ideal life according to society by working a low paying job with high amounts of effort even through that adversity you will find happiness it may be little but you are very grateful for it because of the disproportionate amount of it but it will be worth enough to negate the pain, to make life worth living it's better than nothing and even if that's not the case at least you tried at least you will die happy knowing you tried and just didn't give up. Idk if that's what you wanted but yeah
Oh shi so they nerfed an already terrible hero?? Nah man I regret maining Sombra thinking she would get buffed eventually
What was the Sombra treatment? Idk I remember that she was always a mid hero maybe I started playing too late or maybe because I haven't played in a while idk
I talked a bit about it here Pearl Meta
but now that I have seen scrims and games being run with pearl (I am a tier 4 coach) and now that I have properly educated myself on the map dynamics, I would say Cypher is equally is viable as Killjoy its just kinda preference. Also double controller is pretty dead, most teams if they are not experimenting will play double initiator, most of the times kayo but if the initiator main is not comfortable then gekko. While the other initiator is fade/sova. Now double controller can work just more coordination and thinking required. Now double controller is still viable just won't be meta.
My team runs Astra, Harbour, Kayo, Killjoy, Jett but I would recommend:
Jett/Neon
Omen/Astra - Viper/Harbour
Cypher/Killjoy
Kayo/Gekko - Sova/Fade
I found joining a team helpful wether it be premier or other leagues the friends you make there are usually well dedicated and are willing to cooperate and will introduce you to their friends etc
If you are doing it by yourself then don't worry about commitment, if you are joining the team then yeah fair. And if you wanna get better at writing I just recommend practicing it by just writing and getting feedback
Yeah I saw it a couple of months ago and they were asking for experience and examples. I don't really have any formal experience writing so I will be using these as experience and examples and if they like it I can get on the team :)
Have they announced it? I can make an article now. If not I don't plan on reporting on rumours but I can do it if really wanted
No tier it's just its own separate stand alone competition and we don't relate it to standard events
Official VLR writers often don't cover the majority of tier 2 roster changes, tournaments or news, only the major ones that could affect tier 1, so I am willing to write articles myself and post them on my medium.com and on the VLR forums. Would you guys be interested? and also is there like a changelog where I can find all the new transactions across all teams or else I would need people letting me know because I am not on Twitter 24/7 to keep up with the loads of tier 2 news and I will only really see it on VLR forums.
Thank you for the opportunity to play at Xi Lai Gaming I will not disappoint #xilaigaming
Oh shi that looks like a pretty solid team sad those m8 players are back in tier 2 but 🤷♂️
how so? from what I have seen his stats were pretty mid at loud compared to all the hype and at furia he didn't do exceptionally well. I am not sure if he is good enough to stay on a tier 1 roster but maybe I am missing something idk
qck is overrated everything else is fair
