No tournament is mickey mouse. Why do people even consider Masters Madrid and Lock In as mickey mouse? Masters Madrid - the best teams at that time got there according to the rules, so why should it be a low-ranking tournament? So what's the problem for Riot to do a similar promotion to the one they have on VCT? Maybe some team based card capsules for Ascension/VCL, maybe some drops for watching the tournament. Maybe a special Esports tab in the game client, like Champions or Masters, so that every fucking viewer could learn a bit. What if they invested 10% more in tier 2 than before?
