I think DRX were by no means a crazy good team, but certainly not mediocre either. They've played consistently at the highest international level, placed well during all the events last year, and dominated regionally. I agree that they're not spectacular - I don't think I'd consider them for top team last year - but I think over the last year, DRX have proven that they can be competitive at the highest level (e.g. they played very close/won games vs optic, fnatic, prx, fpx) and that they can do so consistently.

i agree with you in that there's more diversity now than in chamber meta, but i think it wasn't entirely stale
chamber had 100% pick rate but i think there was some mild diversity caused by having a sentinel who could op
no duelists was common with chamber, particularly, triple initiator was interesting and also, the fade raze and the neon was much more viable due to chamber being the designated oper on defence

if you take boaster out of fnatic, ange1 out of navi, fns out of nrg, all of a sudden, that team sucks and probably will suck for the foreseeable future no matter who you replace them with.
