Speculation or is there evidence?

All other regions have a solidified date, when will NA LCQ get announced? Is it gonna be first week of August?

Forgot about this, but keep in mind this isnt anything new to either of them. Bang is an AMAZING initiator, and stellar has most of his experience on controllers. And if bang remains on controller, stellar also has experience on breach/kayo/skye. My point is the culture of the team (As in IGLing/coaching) wouldnt change and nobody would be on a role they are uncomfortable or dont have experience on.

posted about 2 years ago

I disagree. I think what makes this roster beautiful is how clear the roles are. Thats never happened in 100Ts past. Everytime a roster move has been made either roles have been shuffled or the IGL role has been shuffled.

-Dicey + Ethan (nitr0 to sage/Ethan smokes)
-steel +b0i (nitr0 to jett/IGL)
-nitr0/b0i + BabyJ/ec1s (Asuna full time jett/ec1s IGL)
-babyj/ec1s + bang/jcstani (Ethan IGL/Chamber/Sova and Hiko kj/viper/sova)

Not to also mention the constant shoveling of coaches like Frost, Jovi, and now sgares. I think if we did a 1 for 1 roster move like replacing bdog with Will, it would create far less turmoil. You still have the same coach and IGL, bdog would just slot into their enviroment, bdog asuna and bang are already friends, and the only real roles that may change are Asuna playing more raze or neon which we love!

posted about 2 years ago

Everyone says that until they get offered that juicy 100t paycheck. Remember rise wanting to stick together? Look at where Derrek is now...

posted about 2 years ago

Stellars an amazing IGL, and honestly would be very hard to get used to a new IGL in such a short amount of time. Only concern is him not being as good on controllers

  • Bdog
    Also maybe consider zander
posted about 2 years ago

He had to be a star player on rise, he doesnt need to be a star player on 100T.

posted about 2 years ago

I disagree. When making this roster they said bang/asuna/derrek would be the core. Derreks an excellent support player that doesnt need to frag but can. And I feel like they would move Asuna off flex and back on entry before dropping him. Seangares said Asuna was the most mechanically skilled player hes seen and Hiko said he saw sparks of potential in Asuna that could lead him to be better than s1mple.

Are they guaranteed LCQ or do they need 4th?

posted about 2 years ago

LG are restricted F/As. Although they want to stick together, they did get last. Maybe bdog? Jett/Chamber. Amazing awper. Asuna can play more raze and neon. Sounds good to me

posted about 2 years ago

I said the exact same thing. Please have Asuna play more raze/kayo and maybe even neon. He doesnt belong on such supportive agents like fade and sage

I'm no expert by any means, this is just coming from a fan perspective. I wish we could see more Asuna on Kayo instead of agents like fade and sage. Having Asuna on a support instead of an aggressive self sufficent like kayo just seems a bit sad to me. Like having him be bomb bitch on icebox, or to constantly be supporting on fade on split. Just give this man some kayo. And as a bonus id also love to see him play raze/neon on more maps than just fracture.

And its also not like Kayo is bad by ANY MEANS on the maps he wasnt playing him. Hes great on split and icebox. The only map i never see kayo on is bind, and asuna is playing Skye (which is fine)

I also know stats arent everything but just looking at his stats on kayo/raze compared to fade/skye/sage just tell the story

Insane comebacks that shouldnt be possible + getting shit on by awpers

Lower bracket needs to be flipped

I think 100T could also 2-0 with those map vetos, but I think faze more likely pick Haven if 100T ban ascent

  1. Both are 3rd seed
  2. Both lost 2 games. 1 game to an eliminated team (TSM, C9)
  3. Lost to the second seed (Faze, Ghost) in the final week, losing a guaranteed 1st seed.
  4. Both teams giving the first seeds in their group their only loss. (OPTIC, XSET)
  5. Both 3-2 (obv)
  6. Both 2-0ed last seed in their group on icebox (first map for both) and bind (second map for both)

Do they actually have a neon comp?

posted about 2 years ago

Although TSM may have beaten 100T 3 times in VCT, it was 100T who knocks them out this year. You can win the battle... but not the war

This could be really stupid or not, idk. Dont get me wrong I love Will. Will is an amazing player and only seems to be getting better. The only problem is he seems to be leaning into a rifle instead of being that consistent awper. But imagine bdog (who is now a restricted f/a) playing with 100T. Its not unheard of for teams to make roster moves before playoffs, before lcq, and such. Imagine having bdog who is a dedicated, insane awp/chamber player. on maps like breeze he could still play jett, and stellar plays chamber but imagine more maps where Asuna gets to play raze, or even neon. I mean I think fracture rn is 100Ts best map, and a large part of that is Asunas raze. Now imagine their fracture but on 5, or 6 maps. And stellar has played breach before and can play sage and many IGLs have switched to a secondary initiator role and even said its the easiest role to IGL on.

The problem is Will and Asuna have great entrying chemistry, and ddk and sean have a longterm plan. I dont see any roster moves being made, and I dont necessarily think they should be made. Like i said before Will is amazing. This is just a shower thought type post.

I agree that both maps look better for 100T, however I just haven’t seen enough from either team on icebox. As far as 100Ts split, although it looked good in playoffs it still looks the same as it did in playoffs. They mopped TSM both times in open qual, only to lose to them in groups. They got 13-5ed by NYFU.

posted about 2 years ago

I just don’t see how the map pool would workout for NRG

• Breeze - 100T
• Bind - 100T
• Fracture - 100T
• Split - 50/50 (100T leaning)
• Icebox - 50/50 (haven’t seen enough from either team)
• Haven - 50/50 (NRG leaning)
• Ascent - NRG

Although this is off previous results, and if this group has proved anything it just matters who beats who on the day and nothing else.

Agreed. Although I understand why, I feel like I just want more creative comps. I feel like with the likes of seangares and mikeshd, they could have really innovative and creative comps. I want to see them play into their strengths more. I'd love to see Asuna on raze more maps or potential neon, see Will on chamber on a few more maps, see what Derrek is like on fade/skye, and even how stellar performs on like a breach.

I think back to the haven game vs TSM recently, and although yes they got outplayed, and all that it also seemed like a bit of a comp diff.

I just want more creativity because rn they seem very bland.

posted about 2 years ago

It goes by map differential before round differential.

posted about 2 years ago

I want Mikes and Sean to give 100t the most bizarre, crazy, unusual comps next week. I think with the amount of talent this coaching staff has, theres no reason they should be running last metas basic ass comps. Gimme neon, gimme fade, gimme asuna raze, gimme Derrek skye, I want all of it.

posted about 2 years ago

Dont get me wrong. sean and mikes coaching is amazing, and probably the biggest reason 100T is even doing anything. However, the team comps just seem so dull. It all seems like the most generic comps, and dont seem to be playing into their own strengths like Asuna being an amazing raze, etc. Take optic, NRG, and TSM how they just have comps that best fits THEM. I just feel like I'm watching last patches valorant with no new ideas.

I think this is most shocking to me because in strats / ideas they seem to be cooking it up. But it in terms of team comps it just seems so basic and one dimensional and I feel like they could really be innovative.

Just by stats alone, 100T looked the best in NA during this weeks groups games. +15 on what was considered to be the favorites in their group. I think they have potential to go 5-0, but I'm very certain they can qual to playoffs. Especially if they keep this upwards trend (and theres no signs of it stopping)

Is it 2 or 3 teams, because last time when SEN won Iceland, NA got 3 slots in Berlin

posted about 2 years ago

Does top 2 or 3 qualify to this next masters

posted about 2 years ago

100t will make playoffs, and have a deep run in playoffs. They could POTENTIALLY, qualify to masters (This is under the assumption they keep getting better as quick as they are now, not saying they qual in their current form). The thing that’s impressive is just how quickly they are fixing their mistakes from knights, to open qual 1, to open qual 2. All players have star moments and every player / staff is hungry to win and they don’t seem to be slowing down.

One thing seangares was saying when building the roster is he didn’t want to have a weak map. We knew their split and fracture was good, but now their icebox and breeze look great too. And with more time to have a 7/7 map pool, where you aren’t perma banning maps is really dangerous.

They’re still so young, so there’s still so much more strats to add, and chemistry to be built which is scary.

posted about 2 years ago

I love 100t but how tf is winning both the maps you won 14-12 and dropping a map 3-13 convincing.

Who wins that?

After this qualifier, assuming no roster changes whatsoever whats the highest ranking NA this team could get? I think with time top 3

gotta be one of the most underrated moves. He joins faze and they instantly find success. They only lost 1 series so far when he joined. Had an upper bracket run to qualify for groups.
