yeah... they don't have a world-caliber proven sentinel player and Dephh's apparent inflexibility and his hot and cold fragging seems to be holding them back from fitting all the right pieces together. They seem to have the firepower but their title players are getting shifted around and doing unproven new things when it's series #7 out of 9 in the season.... Huge yikes.

try the g502 if you want a heavier version of the logitech superlight. great sensor, nice extra buttons. nice grip. and you can make it even heavier as well since it comes with space inside the mouse to insert bar weights

"i used map diff as TB, but since SEN and 100T were tied i went to H2H"

I might be wrong, but I think you have to move past H2H completely for any tiebreakers that has 3+ teams. This is because 100T also beat Lev. So with your proposed results, it would go to map diff which would put Lev 1st. then between sen and 100T, if they tie there for map diff, it should move on to round diff right? Because if it reverts back to H2H for their tiebreaker, that seems to discount 100T's win vs Lev which was used to affect the first tie breaker. I'm just guessing at the game theory at this point tho because of that potential skew

The assistant coach meta is going kinda crazy huh? Soooo many teams have apparently tried to skirt the "minimum 6 active player" rules that were actually written with some prescience (nice job rito) to account for these types of issues.

All these teams deserve their upcoming losses and should also be fined the minimum 50k salary amount that accounts for the total amount of time in the season that a team didn't have an active 6th player (and visa issues don't count since that means they're reserved, not active) to disincentivize teams from taking the roster construction period this lightly again. If you're gonna get fined the salary for not having a real 6th, then might as well get a real one!

posted about a year ago

Kinda crazy to be having visa issues for your official sub when it's 6 weeks into competition season right? TL basically didn't have a real 6th/sub this whole time and didn't figure their stuff out until shit hit the fan. They deserve the loss for trying to skirt the rules (and all the other teams who are participating in the assistant coach meta too).

Harmii could've been added on an emergency basis. Since he's already a Team Liquid streamer, Riot probably allowed him to be a sub since he's already contracted w/ the org.

Didn't Keloqz drop arguably the worse rating in VLR history in his Ascent map vs Navi at an impressive 0.03?
The guy is just wayyyyy too hot and cold, and by cold, I mean the man is a fucking brilliant scientist when it comes to his ability to approach absolute 0. If that's their best player, disband the team and fire the management

Riot should have LAN isolation rooms ready for sick players who can play.. COVID didn't go away, so why did the preparation for it go away? Their rules are currently inconsistent because of this. If you can't field a full team for a scheduled match, normally, that means you get disqualified. FNC definitely got special treatment. And it's obvious if this happens to other teams, it'll look really awkward if they don't extend the same grace to that team. Which is why Riot needs to be better prepared (and teams need to have real subs).

Nivera plays his util like he's actually a double agent for the enemy team, it's insane

posted about a year ago

we didn't expect anything, but we hoped for more. Big yikes tho after today's performance

yeah it's prolly for loubag lol

he isn't owning anyone. He's saying that the team fucked up a lot of things and he got all the shit for it. His point is that it happens to so many players who can look really bad only because their team fucked up a set play and those players have to improv or commit unforced errors that get caught on obs cam with no context.

They'll barely make playoffs. Then place 4-6th to miss out on Tokyo. Then have to perform at LCQ and somehow look great to win that to go to at least one international lan of the year, this time champs, to win 1 match against a great team then lose immediately after in stunning fashion. Alas, the 100T cycle

posted about a year ago

they had a way better game play that map

posted about a year ago

There’s no bonus momentum to it

posted about a year ago

It looked legit to me. I thought they were keeping it and looks like they very well might be

posted about a year ago

it's not too bad. they've shown a variety with his util, so it's not too 1-dimensional. The only gimmicky thing is the questionable TP's into enemies that could be very punishing

posted about a year ago

that's actually been their normal Fracture comp w/ cNed on Yoru

posted about a year ago

I cannot understand how they got bcj, a proven top initiator, but decided they won't play him. Very much unlike Sen getting Marved but deciding to keep him benched when they have an incredible player ready to grab you some free rounds!

Your first bet was on the rank 9th team to beat the currently undefeated in the league and previous world champs?? Uhm...

Lmfao, you said 100T's firepower is extremely overrated? Way to completely ruin your point

Great fucking job dude!!! LFG!!!

Yeah, every game would be a draw if played perfectly. Like Chess

Damn, this is actually the most factual post I've seen on VLR

What a fucking storyline that would be if they all went into Tokyo undefeated!

I don't think anyone knows yet. More details will come when the beta approaches

It's not possible to have mid-season trading. Among probably a bunch of other reasons, fledgling teams would be frantically taking the best players from the challengers teams which would make both the Tier 1 scene (with no guarantee their new teams would work) and the T2 scene (which would have teams that to restructure mid-season) insanely unstable.

In short, currently, teams are being incentivized to make good decisions at the beginning of the split and they have the opportunity to sign up to 10 players if they anticipate they're going to have roster issues.

posted about a year ago

Not only that, but they'll be picking apart tier 2 challengers teams who are also trying to be stable and win ascension, so the whole T2 system would fall apart very quickly from the weekly invasion that would take their best players.

posted about a year ago

For the top-tier player quality they have, their prep looked terrible and they can't seem to invigorate Cryo to be their primary playmaker. idk... Maybe the coaching change really took its toll and Stellar's IGLing without set execs isn't good enough to be world contenders

posted about a year ago

Did you catch the full headline? They already had a 6th person signed for the active roster, their assistant coach. It's not a new player from outside of the league or even outside of the current team

idk if L1NK is gonna tweet but he did say this much at least: https://imgur.com/gallery/pT76VN4

Yeah, Scream had 100% the opportunity to make his bed this time and he proved he was incredibly incapable of leading or creating the so-called structure he said was previously lacking. He really needs to humbly play a star fragger role instead of trying to be superman and brainiac

Yeah, agreed. Jake and Runi have had extremely impressive debuts and Leaf is a one-man army. 100T's quality of players should be able to handle them with some decent coordination, but C9 100% deserved that win

posted about a year ago

C9 played well. And 100T also played so poorly with the uncoordinated and poorly executed site hits. It was embarrassing to watch them be so bland and making basic mistakes.

It would've been such a 'better' loss if they looked good and C9 just overcame them with everyone looking good. But yikes, some of the 100T attack rounds were shocking

posted about a year ago

I really want DSG to be a success story. Or MxM.

Also, sad to see Dicey get cut. Getting cut from 100T cuz they thought they didn't need an opper/jett and wanted more CS players and now gets cucked from Riot cuz broken Chamber got nerfed. Unlucko

posted about a year ago

Fair point on NRG. I think they can bounce back too from a slow start if they figure their stuff out.

100T, on the other hand, look dreadfully underprepared for their match and the coordination went out the window in the series, especially on attack. They had lazy, readable execs and are seemingly relying on individuals who may or may not be in good form that day to win them each game.

posted about a year ago

I got second hand embarrassment watching that 100T game. Where were the execs?? Where's the prep??

posted about a year ago

Thanks for the recap. I wasn't able to watch these games and this was very helpful!

After big games, the site can be slow to load as everyone is on here at once trying to refresh match pages for stats or starting threads to overreact to a single round, game and/or series

only around 20 tabs? baby numbers

I think they can still transfer within the league though right? I don't remember the full details, but I thought they could continue intraleague transfers but just can't pick up and drop players out of the league anymore

Couple epic fight scenes. Especially near the end. Good movie.

Yeah, idk what he's talking about. We can see the original announcement article on VLR stating an April 1st start date: https://www.vlr.gg/183784/vct-americas-league-dates-and-format-revealed
