Sadly, we didnt get any updates on format, or whether NA will adopt the EMEA format for having 'invited' teams (which is REALLY good imo)

yeah so basically, if you look at the vct emea format for stage 3 at vct.gg , you will see that for each qualifier, they have a closed qualifier BEFORE the challengers where they have 8 invited teams who clash against 8 teams that qualified from the open qualifiers with like 512 people.

I don't think NA will adapt to Invited teams. Because the total of teams in NA isn't as much as in EMEA.
EMEA have CIS, EU, Turkey. While NA basically 85% American 15% Canadian.
As much as I wish there will be invited & closed qualifier. I think NA will still use Open Qualifier only.

honestly stupid, even if they have those different regions in EMEA, they're all doing separate invitations, it doesnt matter about the total teams, theres still a fuck ton of teams in open qualifiers and it makes no sense to make teams like sentinels and v1 to go thru the open qualifiers, NA should have this form as well man.

even if this is true, which i doubt, its still fucking stupid. literal world class NA teams and they still have to go through open qualifiers? it makes no sense, they should be invited to the closed qualifier just like the EMEA format

what type of braindead fucking logic is that? sentinels literally have proved their consistency multiple times throughout stage 2, and fucking went to iceland, it doesnt matter that its 'only 128 teams', they shouldnt have to even do the open qualifiers. they should get a VERY good reward for what they did, and other NA teams too. putting them on the same qualification process as all these tier 3-4 teams is just braindead. NA should have invites for teams to closed qualifiers case closed bro..

sure, but you're implying we should have the exact EMEA format. I'd rather invite 4 teams to Challengers 1 and have a simple qualification process. I don't care, just play the fucking qualifiers.
