Why do people hate Rankers but everyone loved PRX?

PRX was known for W gaming and having unorthodox strategies and comps to win games. Now Rankers is doing the same thing in NA, but they're getting a lot more hate for it.

People like Roy (Stronglegs) think it's not the "correct" way to play the game, but when PRX was W gaming, everyone loved them. So what is with this double standard?

I like them, I just think people don’t like their personalities. I find them fun to watch, because their playstyle is like ranked except in pro play

What hate? Roy is right thats not how to "correct" way to play the game. Everyone knew PRX wasnt playing the game correctly too. Please elaborate.

A lot of people are praying for the Rankers downfall, but most people loved watching PRX win.

I'm friends with a Radiant streamer in NA, who is Tier 3 and scrims a lot, and he says that Rankers will not win Ascension because they are just killing worse players right now. I think he's just jealous of their success 😹

when prx was good they had a lot of fans but have been getting a lot of hate recently since they started doing worse

rankers has some players who were not very well liked before they joined rankers and theyre also farming a dying tier 2 na scene where the level of talent is dropping every year

Hence the quotation marks around "correct". Like following meta compositions is "correct" but ofc I know theres many viable variations to valorant gameplay

i don't like nor hate either team but I do understand people who view RANKERS differently than Paper Rex. Yes, they have sort of similar playstyles and both play off meta comps, but there's a difference between #WGAMING and this

I'm meh on rankers prx probably had more love because they were from sea but also people had far worse opinions back then because while they deserve the popularity they got in 2022 their playstyle really wasn't special or unconventional people were acting like they were super special compared to everyone else
